Are you sure Kishi is not just screwing with his readers again? Sasuke uses a fireball,not to try to take Shin out, but to see what kind of abilities he'd use.

When Sakura came to the rescue...Naruto and Sasuke seemed disappointed. Sasuke telling her that they were about to find out about Shin.

And Naruto Stopped acting like he was about to die, casually removing the sword.

I totally didn't mention how Naruto was clearly over exaggerrating, this thread isn't about putting either down, it's about why they took the complicated route, sasuke has human path, rinnegan genjutsu, and heck naraka path is specifically used for interrogation anyway @_@, but nope they decided to take the long route.

Seems legit, Naruto can react to limbo at age 17 but he can't respond to a sword stab at age 32 but yet sasuke failed , and don't try that he didn't know excuse because Naruto didn't know limbo either but he still dodged it with ease, not my fault your fave's helper called your fave pathetic and Naruto even admitted to it XD, cry harder
