danger sensing works on people, objects don't have chakra or anything like at. I don't recall him being able to sense objects.

Actually, there is.

Swords have been shown not being able to damage any lower forms of Kyuubi enhanced Naruto, and the sword itself is not shown to be anything other than a regular sword. When the Akatsuki leader touched the sword with the seal on his palm, they were able to manipulate such said weapon and somehow bypass through Naruto's cloak and immediately stab him. It's inconclusive to think otherwise.

This is what I'm saying. Nobody has any explanation as to how the blade was able to pierce Naruto, which is why I said that the blade was subject to some form of telekinesis, which at this point all the portrayal points towards. However, even with this hypothetical power, I highly doubt that it would be possible for the sword to gain sufficient momentum to pierce Naruto in any case without the aid of enhancement. There are no known techniques that are capable of improving the functionality of weaponry without some kind of visible indication, which is why I'm sceptical of this whole "enhanced weaponry" explanation. Both arguments are at best inconclusive anyway, there is no proof that either your or my explanation is correct or vice versa.

I'm pretty sure Naruto's 4 tailed cloak tanked Orochimaru's Kusanagi which was stated to be able to cut through nearly anything, so yeah this is a plot hole.
