[Question] Hellsing or hellsing ultimate ? What should i watch

Want to watch hellsing but there are 2 versions which one should i watch ? I tried the first episode of hellsing ultimate and i liked it alot should i just finish it or watch the original hellsing first ?

Hellsing is the old original series, which diverged in to an "anime original" story after a few episodes. Hellsing Ultimate are newer OVAs that are manga loyal, and rather more gritty. It's not a matter of sequels or prequels or anything, Ultimate is a remake that is more loyal to the original story.

Hellsing is non-canon, kinda like the first Fullmetal Alchemist series. If you're into those kinds of things, you might as well try it. If not, you're better off sticking with Ultimate (which is a whole lot better anyways).

Honestly, hellsing was good even tho it wasn't canon. Now hellsing ultimate is where the shit at, gotta watch that.

Watch Hellsing Ultimate first, then watch the other one if you liked Ultimate a lot. I didn't care for the original anime, personally, but I love Ultimate.
