Could that thing be a hint on what Sasuke thinks this "bigger threat than Kaguya" is? Could someone be trying to do what Kaguya wanted? Is this just left overs from the war? Or maybe Orochimaru's experiment? He could have brought DNA of the creatures during the war.
Just want to bring up the ten tail looking thing because he may seem like something weak, but look what happen to the Zetsus, when we thought Zetsu was just fodder in the beginning of Shippuden.
