To be honest, Hidan is an incomplete rushed out character. His skillset doesn't even work well together. There are many inconsistencies and questions that weren't answered. Ex) Regeneration, scythe durability, jashin, etc.

He should've had the scythe a sacred religious weapon. That would explain why it wasn't cut in half by asuma's knife.

Is this a joke or what? Gai stomps in base already. Base Gai could intercept a fight between Obito and KCM Naruto, rushing in and saving Naruto before Obito could capture him. With his speed, reflexes and taijutsu skill, he could fend off Obito without letting him touch even once with Kamui to warp him, even parrying his attacks with the gunbai, the same that troubled a lot Naruto, with his back turned. Base Gai dodges easily everything Hidan tries to do with his scythe, then takes out his nunchaku, disarms him and uses the scythe to cut his head off, once he sees that it doesn't matter how hard he hits him he doesn't go down.
