In rivalries. A team can beat their rival multiple times in a row in the early season and then end up losing when it matters the most.

Sasuke arguably lost the biggest battle of his life (so far) and people still seem to live in the past. A period when Naruto hadn't even began to blossom into the shinobi he is now.

I'm not sure why Sasuke fans believe Sasuke can beat Naruto and vice versa.

Sasuke acknowledged Naruto all the way back in Part 1 and again in Part 2. All while knowing what Naruto was capable of.

Naruto will always be that small fence that became an impassable wall for him to overcome. Always there, no matter how high he rises or how far he falls.

A wall that he himself built:

Defeating Naruto for Sasuke is impossible(Note I said, "defeat" not kill). But you can't say the same for Naruto who never saw it as a true fight to begin with.

Yeah, in both their toughest battles they came in a tie physically and Naruto won mentally. To say that anything before matters is being in denial.

Love this thread but sadly many in denial will not read.

The bold is the only thing you need to fix.

Yeah, Sasuke will never overcome Naruto on being unrealistically forgiving and understanding

I see what you mean and can understand why you misread alot of kishimoto's panels. And gives you the oppertunity to make such a thread.
I will wait for this discussion to go on and then debate about this Concept :)

It's a kind of strength that keeps him from passing that wall. He knows Sasuke better than anyone else.

He may be a closed book, but Naruto can read him cover to cover by merely trading blows.

That goes to show you that his complexity means nothing to Naruto.

Yeah, forgiving your parents killer and calling him the "coolest" guy is definitely realistic and human :lol
Yeah, and in return Obito changed for the better and helped clean up the mess he made. It didn't hurt Minato and Kushina in anyway, I'm sure they would have forgiven Obito as well if he changed right before. See what happens if we forgive? There's a lot to learn from Naruto.

Actually denying what happened before is the biggest form of denial. Naruto blossoming has nothing to do with Sasukes unlimited potential and OP is basically leaving out that they will agree to settle things. Sasuke has been saved mentally per se, so what stops sasuke from "overcoming or defeating Naruto" now? OP used terms like overcome and defeat, as a means to describe what happened in vote 3. Using that concept to describe future battles is laughable at best.

Won't bother arguing due to the passive nature of the OP. Actually it's just not worth arguing over at all. This wall Sasuke set up was overcome after the Vote fight contradictions at its finest.

Considering they both felt this way about each other I would say you're wrong They we're both always trying to surpass one another and get over the "wall" the last fight VoTE2 when sasuke announced he lost naruto said this is not a fight either us of could win or lose. <- something along those lines.

But whatever...

Sasuke has unlimited potential? Everything, even in NV is limited, that's for sure.

We know bro.

Kaiba will never surpass Yugi.

Vegeta will never surpass Goku.

We know. Its Narutos series. Sasuke will always be weaker.

No, the end result is what they were training for, no? You think Sasuke cares about the times he was stronger when they were 12 and under? That's not much like Sasuke is it? Or should Rock Lee care that he beat Sasuke?

Also in regards to Sasuke's unlimited potential. That's just your wishful thinking. We don't know who is stronger as of right now and we'll most likely never know. What Sasuke said was to keep the rivalry alive. They'll never have a VOTE 3 and risk their lives just for a rivalry, especially when they are crazy busy. If they were to fight it would not truly be a no holds barred death match.

Fact is Naruto started growing later, and then at a certain point they both started growing together.

I doubt he forgave Obito, he merely acknowledged the worth of the Obito that shared his same dream.

I won't enter in the debate of who is stronger between Sasuke and Naruto (personally I believe that they are equals, but whatever), but the quote is wrong, since Naruto has wanted to fight and defeat Sasuke since Part 1 (And he stated it again before they used their best attacks).
