When did Naruto become Hokage?

If Sasuke has been away, Sarada's entire life or at least more than a decade. Then when did Naruto become Hokage? The recent chapter seems to imply Naruto was Hokage a good while before chapter 700. Also, does that mean Kakashi sat in the seat for less than 3 years before giving way to Naruto? Because that would be hilarious if he did.

In ch. 700. Shino let the class out because it was a special day (no reason to do it for a Gokage meeting which are always private, Konohamaru mentions it being an important day, Naruto told Bolt "now" the village is his family as well, and Kiba and Kakashi mentioned Kakashi stepping down as Hokage which shouldn't be the case if it was old news. So if Naruto was Hokage in the flashback then it took place between ch. 700 and 701.

Since Kishi did a time skip from chapter 699 and chapter 700, he may have either forgotten or just didn't care when Naruto became Hokage.

True, this makes it clear that she wasn't lying, the bold is not necessarily true though, she would still be correct even if she saw him later.

The thing is were basing this on if sakura was pregnant or not because were using sarada's age to estimate. I think its much better to wait for sakura's explanation since shes coming to the tower to set things straight.

i personally think he came back then left again because to come up with a hipotesis you have to investigate. so he eighter came back to tell the kage about his findings which would be perfect for the timeline but put him into shitty father category. He left when it would be very dificult for her to remember things like 4 or 5 but that would mess with the timeline or the unprobable bu not impossible maybe he genjutsued his presence out of her memory but for now theres not a good reason that would warrant that

yeah but its true when tsunade was appointed hokage it took a while before they actually made a stone head of her. Although theres the fact that that was an emergency situation with there not being a hokage and all
