A good way to awaken Mangekyo

If I was an Uchiha with Sharingan I would have someone use Tsukyomi on me and put me through horibble illusions like seeing my family die, then that should awaken the Mangekyou. Im really surprised that Sasuke didnt awaken his sharingan when he seen all of his entire Family dead. lol to me that qualifies has severe trama. Itachi even used Genjutsu to show him killing the Family. So technically Sasuke witnessed it all happened.
