It's a powerup of his. We see it sparingly throughout the rest of the series

Yeah but how tho last time I checked humans can't just grow limbs and I don't think he's eaten a devil fruit my friend told me it might be cos aof a thing called haki but I don't know what that is yet does it have something to do with loads of dudes in the series turning their body parts to some kind of metal?

They're more like an illusion, He has more illusion based slashes but this probably is his top one.
