As i said before, naruto could had chop off the kid head instead of saving those 2.
But still naruto is naruto and sasuke is sasuke, their power is just there whether they display it or not. There is more chance for shin to kill Sasuke just like black zetsu did to Madara, but Naruto easily tank those dirty trick.

Plankton told him to run away, and he decided to run away on his own without advice when he went head to head with Sasuke. He knows Naruto and Sasuke are equals, he happened to try fighting Sasuke first, got negged, ran away (without advice), gave an empty threat (much like how Sasuke in part 1 said about Itachi shortly before getting negged himself), tried kidnapping Sarada, Naruto intervenes, he is ready to continue fighting Naruto, Plankton comes and tells him he isn't ready to fight Naruto yet and to run, so Shin runs away.

The thing is, Shin came in with a sneak attack, got wrecked and ran with his tail between his legs against Sasuke. Shin got his attack blocked by Naruto and got more angry and decided to attack him again until someone else decided for him that he needed to retreat. I think it's clear at that point who he'd rather fight XD

OP and what he stated is only due to Shin against Sasuke initiating the first attack and is the sole reason Sasuke got damage on him this isn't the case the second time where Shin used distance attacks which were nullified.

Who performed better? OP gave no restriction on this when he created this thread so Yes it can be said who used less moves = the one who performed better seeing as he used less effort then the prior. Since when does using less moves mean you performed better. Results are what matter. Naruto standing still and achieving nothing means he performed way less than Sasuke. not to mention RSM is way power usage of power for Naruto than base attacks for Sasuke. So Sasuke was actually the one who tried less way way way less at that. NAruto attacked Shin, Sasuke only defended himself and still accomplished much more.

No, its you who has no argument. It has been prove several times that the situation between Naruto and Sasuke are different. You are the one who either fails to understand that or don't want to admit that. The reality is Shin achieved his object against Sasuke and fail against Naruto.

Shin does want to kill Sasuke, but that wasn't the time to kill Sasuke. He was just trolling Sasuke. Shin is following orders from his leader who didn't object to Shin stating he can kill Sasuke.

It doesn't surprise me a serious Shin evaded Naruto's chakra claws who stated he was just using a little of his power. Shin was able to get away from Sasuke using pure speed. That fact alone proves he if very fast. It would be different if Shin's forced Naruto to move during their clash and use his speed attacks. Base Naruto easily and effortlessly saved chocho from Shin using pure speed. There a reason Shin retreated using a S/T jutsu.

Naruto didn't capture Shin because he realized during his encounter Shin was targeting Sarada. He was more concerned with protecting Sarada and Chocho than capturing Shin. Naruto gained a lot of information from his encounter. That was a huge blow to Shin and is leader. Must worse than Sasuke shocking Shin which caused him no damage. Shin was told to leave and had to leaving using S/T jutsu to escape. He didn't have to use a S/T against Sasuke.

Whats funny is if naruto werent watching out for sasukes kid he could have easily gone on the offensive and done way more instead of having to save and then safeguard the deadbeats daughter. Maybe if sasuke actually took responsibility for his seed the naruto would actually be able to fight. Naruto also went against shin who used ms and a projectile based attack. obviously he went all out to make sure he could protect the two fodders accompanying him.
