Do you ever feel like the "low chakra pool" ruined some characters? Itachi and Kakashi are the best examples since if they had large amounts of chakra then they'd likely destroy the large majority of NV. I know Kishi only applied "low chakra" to them to prevent that from happening, but on the downside it also severely limited their abilities and harmed their image.

The concept of low chakra pool was destroyed during war arc IMO.

That is true. Unlimited Edo chakra and Kakashi suddenly using Kamui twenty times broke the rules a bit.

Do you ever feel like the "low chakra pool" thing should never have been applied to some characters? Like did it do more harm to some characters than good? Itachi and Kakashi are the best examples since if they had large amounts of chakra then they'd likely destroy the large majority of NV. I know Kishi only applied "low chakra" to them to prevent that from happening, but on the downside it also severely limited their abilities and harmed their image.

Itachi's chakra pool is not that low, and for Kakashi, having a bigger chakra pool won't make him that much stronger since the only good jutsu that he has is kamui.

With that being said the said characters in OP already displayed what they can do when their respective chakra pools as unrestricted.

It makes difference in a battle in which chakra pool becomes the deciding factor.

Both have poor reserves.

I think Kakashi using Kamui numerous times is partly supported by the fact that he was healed quite a few times, and received additional chakra from Naruto on several occasions. However, it's true that Kishi stretched his characters' chakra pools for War Arc feats due to power scaling.

I'd also point out that Obito had a ridiculous amount of chakra, even for someone with strong Uchiha chakra augmented by Hashirama's powers. He controlled numerous tailed beasts using the Rinnegan, which supposedly consumes a large amount of chakra, and spammed his Kamui.

If it's considered to be one continuous fight instead of numerous smaller fights, Naruto and Co. vs. Obito (followed by Madara, followed by Kaguya) has got to be the longest continuous fight in anime history. It lasted from Volume 59 until Volume 71, even if a couple of those volumes focused on Sasuke/Itachi and some Madara/Hashirama flashbacks. Point being, people couldn't be too limited by chakra if Kishi wanted to draw that fight out; the main thing is that chakra capacity limited the scale of abilities people could use. If Kakashi had suddenly busted out huge techniques, I'd have more reason to complain about the inconsistency; however, the most he did was use Kamui on the Hachibi, which was explained to be a result of Naruto's chakra boosting the Kamui's power.

Kakashi has decent reserves. His borrowed sharingan just uses most of his chakra.

Itachi has low reserves. DB stats even Iruka has more stamina than him.

Spaming kamui continously is not much stronger ?

I agree. I remember how pissed i was at the Kakashi vs Pain fight. His supposed 'low chakra pool' stuff ruined what should have been an awesome battle imo.

Sasuke has low chakra that is why he has to take power from 8.5 tailed beasts

This characters like Kakashi were fighting all day Chakra means nothing anymore after that Shikamaru fight when he gave up when he ran out of Chakra in Part 1

Kakashis chakra pool was shown to have been upped drastically during the war lol. We can safely say he no longer has smaller chakra pool, he has one of the larger ones in the NV now, Spamming kamui, raikiri and fighting OP as eff opponents for like 3 straight days.

Plus alot of the small chakra pool for kakashi was because his sharingan was always on meaning it continuously used chakra where as uchihas like itachi and sasuke turn theirs off when not using.

It was stated countless times in the manga that the Uchiha Clan had Strong chakra most likely do to Indra there Ancestor being Hagoromo son, Some of you may say that you can't generalize all uchiha to having strong chakra that's true but what really caught my attention is Hinata? Hinata used her Byakugan her stated That there's a area surround with a very strong chakra (Amaterasu) Itachi's technique , The Byakugan ability lets you see the quantity of chakra someone has as were neji was able to compare Kisame & Naruto in earlier shipuden.

People will say things like Itachi only used Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi and was already out of chakra but that's false Itachi used Many technique's and tactics that was over looked.

1. Used a summoning crow justu

2. Made a crow clone

3. Crow clone caught naruto in a Dusk crow genjutsu

4. Crow clone body flicker towards the cave were he was waiting for sasuke

5 Multiple Sharingan genjutsu

6.Tsukuyomi

7.Shadow clone

8.2 fire ball jutsu

9. Amaterasu 5x

10. Susanoo

11.Yata Mirror

12.Totuska Blade Sealing Jutsu

13. Transcription Seal:Amaterasu

Itachi was able to do all that despite having a illness close to death
]

I'm not saying Itachi has the best Chakra reserve but it's surely not as bad as people were setting it out to be, the key proof to that is a Byakugan users stating that his technique surround the area had a powerful chakra that's the ability of a Byakugan good insight and details on areas, surround, chakra network, & chakra it self despite the man dieing from a disease .

He couldnt used many spell at once when kamui takes alot of chakra. If his chakra pool is large, he can use kamui at quicker rate and forming doton wall for defensive at the same time, but there are 1000 jutsus out there when he get enough of chakra pool.

Itachi had the lowest reserves of all top class shinobi but being Uchiha, quality was always there... Kakashi had Sharingan draining about half of his chakra for maintenance,

But both Shinobi demonstrated the skill of master chakra control and using several jutsu w/o wasting a bit of chakra...

But back in good days, these things really mattered in a battle... Like Itachi retreated just because of using Ama once, Kakashi ending bed-ridden because of few hours of Sharingan usage...
