Did anyone really care about naruto being hokage? ive always thought it was a boring job, too boring for naruto. Plus even though thats what his manga goal was starting out, saving sasuke ended up being the main goal for ~500 chapters. If you've read gaiden, naruto being hokage isn't even shown minus the negatives of his job and sasuke is away for 12 years all alone. Im starting to think him dying with sasuke would've been a better outcome.

Honestly, there are so many shinobi in the shadow throughout the history that was better Hokage than all of them.

I do since I wanted to see how he was going to be one. Plus, I would wait till for more of him as a Hokage if I were you.

yeah, thats what i'm saying
being hokage is boring for Naruto because...
- nobody will step to him
- if they try to beat up sasuke, sasuke will call naruto for help

even kurama said they haven't fought in a long ass time

Kurama said he hasn't, doesn't mean Naruto wasn't shaking a tail feather.

OT; Of course it would be stupid for him NOT to become Hokage. He has to fulfill his master and father's will.

Of course I did, that's what Naruto wanted since the first chapter. What you think of it is of little consequence, its been Naruto's dream job since he was a little boy and he finally obtained that dream.

It's boring since he's so strong. I guess for me if he'd been hokage, end of naruto story forever I'd be ok. But now seeing him be all boring, shitty dad, doing paper work, it doesn't seem like authentic naruto. Like his character completely changed in this hokage role.

It's a dream he's always had since chapter 1, but we never saw him really working towards it and it never made sense to his character. He's focused on getting stronger to bring sasuke back and in the process became village hero and hokage candidate. of course i wanted him to be hokage too and expected the outcome, but now seeing the dream realized, im not so impressed. wish he'd retire and and sasuke start some drama again. gaiden is so boring.

yeah, he's changed, but i still like him. i'm starting to like his son a bit more, but not by much
I only like Bolt because he reminds me of the Old Naruto mixed with Minato

Well It was one of the main reasons I Watched/read the series regularly the others being action and to see what would happen to some of the charcters. The story was never really that interesting to me escpcially since it whent all over the place. Anyway back to my piont I cared about it but as the story when on I had a feeling it wasn't gonna be worth watching/reading for. this was becuase kishi began to show his inexperience as a writer and just his bad writing qualities in general. After seeing how kishi handled this big story element I now know my hunch was right. It had so much build up but was very lack luster in the end. I mean it's just shown in one panel that naruto is hokage and then ignored the rest of the chapter and to top it off he seems even less happy than he was when he was hokage. (I'm not even gonna get into why this is horrible writing)like really what a waste of my ****ing time if you are gonna make something like that so big and important to the story make it ****ing worth waiting for. It's one of the many reasons why I feel this whole series has been a huge waste of my life and what I despise it now. It had one of the worst written endings I have ever seen son I u irrelevant charcters shoved into it and no plot resolution.

well that was a very honest answer. I just feel like if they had gone a different direction than hokage maybe it'd be more interesting and authentic since him being hokage was never a huge focus for his developement. The story more focused on him chasing after sasuke and gaining the hero role and power to be hokage as a bonus to chasing him. then the aftermath of being hokage was lack luster as you said. makes me wonder if him being hokage was really worth the outcome.

Yeah I'm a pretty frank person. Even If it isn't the ideal environment for being that way.
I really thought that kishi was gonna have naruto reject the hokage title and have it be one of those plots where the main charcter realizes that he/she never needed the big dream goal they desired for so long (in this case it would be the hokage title) what they really needed was some form of personal charcters growth that they achieved through their own actions not through achieving this specific dream goal like they thought. But no he didn't wich would be fine if he made it have some form of charcter development that fit the whatever theme he was going for. That's really what this whole hokage thing was in temrs of writing just plain charcter development but here I don't know what the **** it was supposed to do for naruto make him happy/sad/a better person. Like I have no idea what kishi was going for with this hokage thing. Also after naruto saved the village from pain he already has what he said was the main influence on his dream to be hokage that being acknowledgment from the villagers. So there isn't even any reason why naruto would even care about the hokage title. It's just so bad honestly.

the thing is the respect and recognition was when he wanted to be hokage for selfish reasons then after his conversations with itachi, jiraya, nagato and etc he wanted to become hokage to help other people. And obviously you can help alot more people being a hokage than a random villager. And the gaiden still has 6+ chapters to go they still can show us the fruits of his labor as hokage

lol the entire series he has been saying i wont give up until im hokage, hokage is my dream yadda yadda. All of the things would have been discounted if he died at the end lmfao... No if naruto didn't become hokage it would have been extremely stupid.
