I can definitely see how Sasuke's "negligence" at taking care and speaking to his daughter will ruin his character.( not really), but I will attempt to see why. You can skip to the conclusion if you don't want to read it all, but I suggest you read before you criticize.


Before Chapter 700:

Sasuke's story begins when Itachi massacres his entire family and is told by the person he admires the most to avenge his clan. Sasuke defeats Naruto at the valley, but spares the life of his best friend representing the sanity/feelings he held on for Team 7. After defeating ITachi he finds out the truth that the person he hated was only trying to protect him. Sasukes character makes a dramatic change after unlocking his MS and goes on a rampage to avenge his brother.

He then meets his brother once more confirming the truth but know Sasuke seeks out a deeper meaning to shinobi. He speaks to the kages and decides the world strongly needs change. After fighting Naruto he goes on a journey to revise his plan for peace. He learns his shinobi way by the end of 699 which is self sacrifice and peace for all humanity.

P.S I know there is a lot more to this story but it was just a rough summary.

Expectations and fanfic can't be used to say his character was ruined just because he didn't live up to fantasies you envisioned. Instead use what's is actually said/ depicted inside the story to judge his character.

< He hasn't been representing the leaf( concealed headband proves it), but he still works with Naruto. Probably works with other nations as well to help ensure peace on the new lands that are discovered.

< Attacked by a random sharigan kid who bears the Uchiha crest on his back. So it's only natural he would think anyone who approaches him at such a remote location would be a possibly enemy.

< Still unknown if Sasuke has any clue Sarada exists. Sasuke side regarding his daughter and his relationship with Sakura is still unheard.

Conclusion:

Sasuke character revolves around his complex childhood and his resolve to maintain peace in NV. Sasukes character being ruined by the mere fact he hasn't met his daughter yet is quite laughable imo. It's not as if he has been lollygaging and taking vacations in the palms. In fact Sasuke seems like he is the one who worked harder than anyone to ensure the peace mankind has been enjoying.

Sasuke character was ruined the moment he decided to go forth with his "revolution" plan. He should've just packed a bag and become the next Rurouni Kenshin from that moment on. But noooo, you fans wanted to see a fight between him and Naruto.

I mean yeah, Sasuke tried to kill Sarada's mother either way you look at it(Sakura or Karin). Plus he tried to destroy all of the Kage's, Bijuu and even Naruto. Do you really think he's just going to move right back to the leaf village and expect to be accepted? Hell no. He had to go around the world and do good things for years, then mayb, just maybe, people might not hassle Sarada because her father was a friggin idiot and tried to kill everyone. I'm positive that he's carrying on Itachi's will for Sarada because I'm sure Sasuke knows that Itachi would want her niece to grow up as a Leaf Shinobi.

I disagree for 3 reasons.

< 1. Sasukes revolution might have went against moral standards but it showed Sasuke had a deep resolve to fix the evils of the NV.

< 2. Sasukes character remained silent the entire war arc and the revolution was the climax of that silence. It was hard to tell what was going his head the entire time which made it more interesting imo.

< 3. yes a Naruto vs Sasuke fight was well over due. They had to have at least 1 real fight before the series ended...They were both gifted with powers entrusted from the sage and both had 2 different views on the world. There fight was inevitable.

Blah. The revolution plan was pointless. Like who is he is fixing the world for? He had no family at that moment and nobody to care for. Why go to such length for a shinobi world that had taken everything away from you? Really, he should've just pack that bag and bounce.

I don't care what people say. But that fight was ass. You can't call it a fight when Naruto was playing Defense half of the time and Sasuke was still getting used to both of his eyes. Yeah both of his eyes. He didn't fully mastered his ems before the war start. Otherwise he would've been swinging with perfect susanoo against Obitio. Naruto was nerfed by playing defense and Sasuke was nerfed by not having experience with his eyes.

Well whatever you guys say, sasuke was surely evil for the most of the time but he realized his mistakes and admitted his mistakes by admitting his defeat after battling with naruto. And I think the point of this thread is to don't jump to the conclusions that sauke is a bad father and I agree with this. We should just wait for the next chapters and I m pretty sure kishi has reasons for showing sasuke pointing his sword toward his child.

Yeah I guess that's true and he gets paired with sakura too lol. I don't know why people think it's so bad though..I can why the abusive past makes it almost non-believable, but Sasuke has a less dark mind set now.

LOL, Yeah everyone knows he tried to kill Sakura(only because she was trying to kill him,aswell as Karin (Only cause she got in the way),and the Kages. Yeah, Team 7 just went around telling everyone.

Nah, some people are jumping to negative conclusions. Some people take things at face value and make negative assumptions.

It's a common element among stories. Things seem bad,then they turn out not to be. How many times do people have to come across this to learn not to be so quick to judge?

We don't know exactly why Sasuke hasn't been with Sakura the whole time, or why he raised his sword against Sarada.

Honestly I have to agree. Realistically his character does not suit romance. He rarely shows any emotions. His whole character is based on mystery. If anything a relationship with someone ruins that.
