I don't know what's confusing, that's how I've always understood it. Is the confusion over whether Gaiden Naruto's cloak is RSM?

I usually thought the only indicator for rsm was the cross eyes without eye markings and that the cloack was extra protection. Because the goudamas didnt appear when he was hitting madara with a lava rasenshuriken but that was still rsm right, but thats just my speculation

I figure the reason he has a cloak is because he's friends with the beasts. That would explain why neither Madara or Obito had cloaks; tentails was enslaved. I'm also going by the lack of eye markings, and the goudamas might've been finite, as in, when they've been taken away or destroyed they're gone for good. Madara wasn't replacing his, otherwise what would've been the point of Minato's strategy to steal them?

There's no reason for Naruto not to have RSM. Sasuke gets to keep his rinnegan.

And that's not Naruto's RSM? The sidebar lists the entire setup as parent jutsus. Including the two you just mentioned. So if it's supposed to say that's what it is, some kind of combo, then I think that fulfills it.

It's not. Doesn't have the six rikudou symbols or the rinnegan pattern. The big evidence is there's no gudodama and they say there's few similarities but it's missing some things.
