Oda has even surpassed their idol (Toriyama) in sales. Dragon Ball was the most sold Manga title in history prior to OP's rise to fame. More popular worldwide? Lmao, that counts for less than 10% of the manga world. One Piece dominates Naruto in terms of overall sucess. That is yet another irrefutable fact.

This is exactly why I try not pay attention to sales, they might bias me towards a manga and prevent me from making my own opinion.

For example Fairy Tail doesn't do as well sales wise and it isn't one of the big three, but I actually like it more than One Piece, Bleach, or Naruto.

I didn't mean you were biased or anything, I am just saying that I never bother checking the sales of a manga before reading it.

I simply read it first and if I like it, I like it, don't care if the sales are poor or not.

A perfect example are movies done by certain directors (I will avoid any names so I don't offend anyone), they make huge amounts of money, but the critics hate them, and honestly I don't like them either.

Some things that are popular and get good sales aren't necessarily good.
