[Question] Skypiea arc

So I've new to OP and just skimmed thru the skypiea arc and mostly just watched the fights and some other parts cos I wanted to finish it before my exams and If I interrupted watching I would forget and have to start again and I'm already on the next arc and I don't feel like going all the way back to fully understand the skypiea arc so can someone please give me like a short summary of the key points that I'll need to remember of the arc that tie into the OP story

I felt the Skypiea arc wasn't that enjoyable in the anime compared to the manga. I suggest reading the manga for that arc, it was far better. I don't know what it is but it wasn't that great in the anime. It's only like 60 chapters dude. IMO the next arc that Toei should remaster is Skypiea, I would love that.

I don't just watch fights I was rushing cos I had exams to study for
Don't worry guys I've had a friend explain most of it to me and read some of it so I think I get it a little now

Read it.. It's important
U get some info about the poneglyphs , the Void century and Shandora. Skimming is just not an option with One Piece
There are key elements scattered troughout arcs u won't notice otherwise.
