Hinata in shippuden was such a hyped vessel, she held the power to create another race with crazy amount of power. So did sakura...but they're now reduced to just...mothers lol, as far as i know they're not even ninjas anymore. Makes me think Being a ninja's pointless for most females.

Well, Kishi is headed in the direction of making all ninjas obsolete in his story, since the characters are in an era of peace... however, he does hold some conservative views regarding an "ideal" family structure. To him, this is a happy ending for Sakura/Hinata, because they no longer have to fight and struggle, and have gotten the men they desired and are raising happy families with them. Of course, that's less true in Sakura's case.

So far, no one in the village appears to be going on missions. It feels like Sasuke is the last "ninja" left, protecting the village from the shadows while Naruto handles the politics.

Giving birth takes a toll & lasts a while. Additionally, someone has to watch over the kids. Naruto's the Kage & Sasuke's gone.

i wouldnt say that m an, this style of writing's been practiced since the beginning of naruto. Naruto's mother was once a great ninja...but she became a sacrifice..a stay at home mother.

Naruto's father was the Hokage (Extremely busy job.) Who going to watch Naruto? It's common sense. She gets to be with her lovely child and also dodge the risk of having the 9 tails snatched from her during any ole mission. I'm sure she rather be a mother over being a ninja any day.

I see nothing wrong with them settling down, and we do see Ino and Karui involved in their kids' training in the epilogue. Sakura might still be a medic, too (didn't she open a clinic in the novel or something?).

I mean, when your job is something potentially dangerous and you don't have any reasons to cling to it no matter what, and you have the option to settle down with your family, why continue working?

You do know that there are several female characters that are not living that lifestyle? Karin, Mei, Konan(When she was alive.) Anko, Samui and others.
