I'll be using Shanks
Terrain is a wooden dojo with us facing each other in the center.

Facing his opponent, Shanks takes a stance with his feet even with his shoulders, left toe on par with the middle of his right foot. Holding his right arm straight out, slightly bent, his fists were curled both facing up, with his left hand tucked closer to his head.

Keotsu bio.

Keotsu takes a deep breath as he enters the dojo, enjoying the scent of the crisp morning air. He takes his place about seven paces from his opponent, and stands casually. His body is evenly balanced on his two feet, which are level with each other. The concept is known as "no-stance", and bases its principles on unpredictability not through chaotic movements, but balance; with every aspect of your body in harmony, there are no tells to your actions until you act.

Keotsu takes a deep breath, and then nods to his opponent.

The nod was the only acknowledgment needed. Breaking the distance between them, Shanks advanced upon his opponent quickly but careful not to drop his guard with his hands. When in proximity, he would feign a knee to your left side with his right knee to actually deliver a quick side kick to the outside of your left knee, testing your responsiveness in an attempt to ignite a skirmish.
