It's just an asspull so Sarada can hate him and run to Naruto while Boruto runs with Sasuke. It's BS though.

that much should be obvious. kishi lacks common sense to give Sasuke a better reason for staying out of the village and not contacting Sarada. Unless he doesn't know Sarada was born then Kishi can't write for shit.

It fits into Sasuke's character. Sasuke was willing to spend eternity being hated and with no close bonds for the sake of the world's peace and stability. He's had self-sacrificial tendencies in the past, so not being with his family and alone and constantly traveling fits into that. Sasuke blurs the line between selfish and selfless, this is just a continuation of that.

Exactly, Sasuke has always been selfishly selfless :sdo:

Eh, not really. He's just being inconsiderate. Until it says Sasuke's absence is completely necessary, you can't call it a worthy enough self sacrifice.

You think he would understand the importance of being there for your family.

Inconsiderate to this family? Yes. But he went on this journey for the sake of making sure there was no chance of Kaguya happening again. The mission Sasuke is currently on has been going on for, what, 12 years? And he's in underdeveloped countries. That implies that the mission carries a lot of significance if he's that far from home for so long. Sasuke may have had a yes or no choice in taking the mission, but doing so still requires a degree of selflessness.

Apparently Sasuke forgot his own childhood, where he was constantly ignored by his Father. Why would he do that to his own kid? How he views things shouldn't matter. Last chapter proved how bad it was when he couldn't even identify her.

Depends on what the mission is tbh. There's no doubt in my mind that it's something extremely important, something that is more than just Sasuke and his family.

I think I have the answer for your question.

Sasuke admires only naruto in the current shinobi world.he even admit that he thinks about naruto as itachi who used to be walk in front of him.

Sasuke is on a mission given by 7th hokage. He just only cares about naruto

Again, how is it selflessness, if it's not him suffering?

Also, Kishimoto screwed Sasuke over. The guy has hawks. I'm going to assume here, but it seems like Sasuke easily could have used those to send letters. Even people at war are able to contact their families every now and then. 12 years walking around? Tell me how he's saved the underdeveloped countries. This is assuming his reason is as weak as OP makes it sound out to be though.

You might be right and Sarada most likely is just not able to understand. We should wait.

Who said he's not? Who says he doesn't want to be at home with his family more, assuming he knows about them? Again, we have to wait to see what the mission is. We're making too many assumptions at this point.

Also, one way it could be selfless is the same as one of the ways Itachi killing the clan was selfless. Sasuke knows that leaving his family behind could garner negative views and potential infamy towards him. Surely, if we're sitting here like "Wow, Sasuke's a bad dad", then surely there are people in the series itself who think so as well. Like Itachi accepting the infamy and negative views his mission garnered him, Sasuke did the same, accepting to be looked at negatively in order to carry out his mission.

Totally agree guilty until proven innocent :sdo:

No matter how important the mission is, it doesn't justify complete abandonment. He could have easily stayed in contact, it didn't take them long to reach him at all, so he could have visited occasionally, especially with his powers.

Kishi just didn't think this through and thought it would be a good way of getting Sarada to also hate Sasuke like Boruto hates Naruto. But he didn't realize that he just shat on Sasuke by doing that, or maybe he doesn't care.

Exactly. Naruto probably has aids too now since he admires him so much.

It can. Now, I can list scenarios and possibilities that would justify it, but it doesn't matter because we are too in the dark. We have to wait for the details of the mission and his reasons to make a judgement.
