izuna's looked the most original to me. Madara's looked the best with itachi being a close second. Sasuke's design was all over the place. I thought, given his powers, obito's should've looked cooler

Maybe it's the result of genetic engineering, rather than "divine intervention". If it were engineered, the engineer wouldn't waste time on design.

After all, there's at least three eyes with the same pattern and that's unusual.

Shin's reminds me of Itachi's MS, just a fuller design. It's likely artificially created if that's the case since MS are supposed to be unique to their possessors.
