I think it's a copout, and i like the idea that the Uchiha is a cursed clan and that in order to gain power they have to suffer thats an awesome idea that kishi just undercut.

Woah chill the sharingan has an ESTABLISHED CANONICAL way to be awakened. Your life is in danger like every other time we've seen it or some EXTREME emotional turmoil like Itachiu mind****ing Sasuke. The brother's fued has nothing to do with awakening the sharingan that's all about the uchiha descendants letting hatred consume them. Just because you awaken your sharingan in a life or death situation doesn't mean hatred will consume you so Sarada awakening it in battle mean she's filled with hatred. your false equivalence is hilarious.

And please don't bring up plot complexity this is Naruto were talking about not game of thrones.
