Is it confirmed that Shin is Uchiha.

I know he himself said "Shin Uchiha" in one of the chapters, and he also has uchiha crest on his back, but it does not really confirm that he is actually an Uchiha?

His "father" has a stitched Sharingan, so we can't really tell if he is uchiha or not (in NV there are no limitations to different kinds of eye surgery), and since Shin calls him father, we can't be sure if Shin is actually uchiha too. What do you think?
