Why Naruto Could Only Use KCM Sage Mode in The Last

Okay. As we know Naruto only went up to KCM when he fought Toneri. Most people believe he lost RSM. But I don't think that's the case.

As we see during the VOTE 2 Fight, Kurama mentioned that when all of his chakra is used, he'll be put to sleep.

Even after Naruto got the full Kurama, I assume Kurama stayed asleep to recover the chakra that was lost.

As we see in chapter 700 when Kurama is asleep.

We know that KCM mode doesn't require Kurama's cooperation, as it just takes some of his chakra.

I think that Naruto used KCM because Kurama was still asleep, so all he could do was take his chakra.

Naruto was out of Kuramas chakra in VOTE 2 since he had to fight Sasuke right after Kaguya. Naruto can only use KCM mode when he is pushed really hard and I think Toneri gave him that challenge with his Tensengan

Just about the last point. Only Yin Kurama was put to sleep , Yang Kurama was still very much awake after being freed from Sasukes Chibaku Tensei, besides full Kurama fought alongside Naruto against Toneri in "The Last"

There's no need for that lol. A lot of us (me included) haven't seen the Last, although I did see the Naruto vs Toneri fight on YT, & did read a bit about it.

It was a decent theory, you just didn't know lol.
I'm hoping to see it when it's dubbed though =D

You can't be faster than something that is instant. Something that is instant has no measurable speed to begin with.

Nice theory but nah the other half would have merge the sleeping half and awoken him. Toneri isn't OP enough to take on rikodu sage mode naruto so kishi had to reduce naruto's strenght to make the fight a little interesting that's all just like how sasuke refused to use OP jutsu's against shin that's the same thing that happened there.
