we've seen more of Sarada than we have bolt :lol

I'm interested in his character because he is a prodigy unlike his father at that age. Other than that there isn't much to say. He lashes out like a lot of kids do when a parent isn't always present but he clearly cares for his family.

To be honest, my feelings about Boruto are the opposite of the ones expressed in the above quote.

1. Part 1 Naruto was so much better as a character. Naruto as a child simply craved the respect and acknowledgement that every human being deserves, since he was wrongfully denied basic respect for an event that he had no control over or knowledge about! Furthermore, Naruto had no friends or family to support him. Nevertheless, Naruto was willing to persevere and earn that respect. There is nothing wrong with that. It is actually admirable!

Boruto on the other hand is just a stupid brat who gets mad every 5 seconds because he can't seem to grasp the fact that his dad has a job and can't spend every waking moment playing hide and seek with him! To make matters worse, from chapter 700 to now, that is literally all we have seen of Boruto's character! Do we even know of a single hobby or aspect of Boruto outside of "Boo hoo, I hate my dad because he's too busy!"? One might say that pranks are a hobby of his, but that is not the case since all of the pranks and antics we have seen Boruto do were to just get Naruto's attention. He's such a cry baby "Wah wah, I want my daddy!".

It also doesn't help when so many other characters have had so much better reasons to complain, yet they were still better than Boruto:

1. Naruto (explained above)
2. Sasuke (loses his entire family at the hands of his brother no less, isn't told a thing about why this happened)
3. Gaara (father tries to kill him multiple times, uncle tries to kill him, no mother, siblings hate him for reasons he couldn't control, villagers hate him for reasons he couldn't control)
4. Kakashi (father commits suicide, loses Obito tragically (Obito survived but Kakashi didn't know that), loses Rin and has to also experience the guilt of killing Rin himself despite the fact that Rin chose to die, loses Minato)
5. Madara (loses all 4 brothers in war and presumably his parents at some point, Uchiha clan turns against him)
6. Hagoromo (his mother fuses with a tree and turns into a monster to try and kill him and take his chakara, has to seal his mother away, his elder son starts a centuries long war with his younger son)

The list goes on and on. Yet what is Boruto's problem:
"Daddy won't play with me 24/7"

Boruto is a joke thus far!
I simply can't deny this lol.

so what do you like about bolt the hype? His spoiledness. He's a prodigy?
I think it's too quick to judge. His spoiled personality isn't even as bad as everyone makes it seem. He has a little angst, so what?

So far, he seems pretty chill and I like the relationship he seems to have with Mitsuki.

Shadow Clones are one of my favourite jutsu and the fact that he has that at such a young age is pretty cool.

He reminds of the scenes that Naruto and Shikamaru shared in part one, and that duo is my favourite.

This whole Sarada vs Bolt thing is clearly a pseudo war for Sasuke and Naruto fans. Sasuke fans are quickest to defend Sarada while the same goes for Naruto fans and Bolt.

I don't care what people think about Sarada. You're clearly bias because there is nothing to like about Bolt yet Naruto fans are here defending him lol.

I just listed reasons and also said it's too quick to judge. I also addressed how Naruto fans and Sasuke fans are just biased. Which includes both of us. Did you read my post?

I'm not biased at all about Bolt. He would have easily became one of my favs if he was cool but he isn't. Maybe for you it's to soon to judge but this is how Bolt is theres no running away from it. I'll probably start liking him once Sasuke smacks some sense into him but until then he's a jerk off imo.

Bruh, it's 3 chapters in and none of them were about Bolt. It is way too quick to judge.

He's shown a bit of angst and lacks a cool character design. That's it.

I'll decide whether I like him after he fights.

I am not gonna start liking him any time soon until he gets rid of that bratty vibe.I have seen certain fat rich kids who were spoilt and arrogant back in the day because of overinflated dad wallets and I dint like em then

It's funny the dislike I have for Bolt because while Sasuke and him were both beloved prodigies at least Sasuke had a good reason for his spoiled behavior. Then again Sasuke only acted arrogant towards others, but I guess I didn't mind his cocky attitude. It's just the fact he is dis-respectful to his dad....

Even Sasuke wanted attention from his father, but Sasuke always had someone to strive for, Itachi. Who he wanted to surpass or at least catch up to so that he could be acknowledged by his father.

Unlike Sasuke, Boruto acts out trying to get his father's attention in the opposite form. Sasuke achieved perfect grades, passed every test, and performed to his highest in every extra curricular activity in shinobi work just to be noticed by his father. Boruto may be in the same boat as Sasuke in the sense of being early prodigies, but Boruto has no one to catch up to. He probably has the best grades in his class, unmatched in skill, and probably does not lose very often (when it does not come to his father).

I think people judge too harshly on his behavior because he is only a kid, and the kids of this generation are not really facing much. Sarada is literally the only one with actual family problems, and everyone else is borderline standard revolutionized American kids with a twist. He is only about twelve years old, and he does not really complain at all like people say. The only thing he really does is cause problems for his father by drawing on the Hokage monument, but he only does that to gain a reaction from Naruto so that they can spend some quality time together.

Unlike Sasuke, Sasuke didn't want to spend time with his father, he wanted his father to notice him because there was already a son who casted a shadow. Outside of just pranks, the kid is pretty normal to me. He is not rude at all, not to anyone. He thanked Sarada after she helped him escape his shadow clone father, and he reasonably helped her too when she plead for the Bento tnj crap. He does not come across as this rude, know-it-all, complaining all the time child. What he does rub off is, a child who has a easy life, but wastes it on trying to get his father's attention.

I mean can we blame him, though? I guess you could say Boruto does not really have a plan for himself, he is still too immature to decided unlike Naruto who wanted to become Hokage, but he is still young too. I feel like he has potential to be a great character, and to do something with his life that extends Naruto and his legacy. I can only hope Kishimoto will do something interesting with him.

Yeah I kinda agree. I never meant to sound rough on Bolt but you have to admit the situation of these kids compared to the last gen is lol worthy. I'm sure Bolt will shape up when Sasuke starts training him and he learns more about the past.

Sasuke:

1. Whole family and tribe were destroyed

2. Abused by his most beloved brother right after at age of 6

3. Became a psychopath when he's a toddler

Burrito:

1. Hokage dad too busy, so he has to spend time with his clone

2. Mother and sister live with him everyday

There's just no comparison. Sasuke is a tragedy while burrito is the fat rich kid who has a big Mac in his mouth and is a genius too?(As if he doesnt have enough)
