I understand how controversial that might seem,but its the truth.
Here's the definition of borrowed
"To take and use something(that belongs to someone else) with the intention of returning it
A common retort to sasuke fans is that itachis eyes are a borrowed power.this is absurd.how can you return something to someone who's dead? Sasuke never intended to relinquish itachis eyes,nor did he have consent to take them.
Naruto,on the other hand,is shown asking the tailed beasts for power often.when the beasts give him power,the expectation is that he will eventually give them back control of that power source.therefore naruto is " borrowing".
Does it really make a difference whether power is given,borrowed,stolen? No,not really.the how is not Important.
