Cu goes down in a pretty great way in all three routes, especially in UBW, unlike Zero Lancer.

Though, Cu gets his backstory and a lot of scenes in F/HA so his screen time isn't lacking at all if you're a VN player.

Well maybe lazy is the wrong word. I meant to say unappealing/boring. It's literally the same scenario but with Rin instead of saber. Not interesting or creative imo.

Not to mention it was done better in zero.

Not FSN's author fault. The Lancer death thing was written by FSN's author for Cu since FSN came first.

Urobuchi just copied that for Zero, but I guess he was just trying to make VN fans remember Cu's death.

Also Zero Lancer's death is much worse than Cu's, which you will see why in the next episode. Cu goes down in a badass way.

And Saber's problem isn't the country. Her conflict comes from the fact that she drove dozen of people - a whole country - towards their deaths.
