What do you think about one piece story progress

if we compare manga & anime I found that till alabasta arc we have around 200 chapters & 130 episodes,but now from punk hazard & until now(upto anime episodes) we have more episodes in anime than chapters in manga.
So seems like oda is making things more elaborate then it should be

You have to count the filler episodes

Thats why i hate alabasta arc because its too long, perhaps thats the reason why oda changed it.

2. Skypiea, 66 chapters, 237-302
3. Alabasta, 63 chapters, 155-217
4. Ennies Lobby, 56 chapters, 375-430
5. Fishman Island, 51 chapters, 603-653
6. Thriller Bark, 48 chapters, 442-489
7. Punk Hazard, 46 chapters, 654-699

Alabasta is longer if you count all the islands before in which they encountered Baroque works. SO therefore it is longer than that. The story arc was started and was progressing long before the strawhats reached alabasta.

That's called a saga. If you go by Sagas:

East Blue = 1-99(99ch)
Alabasta Saga = 100-217(118ch)
Sky Island saga = 218-302 (85ch)
Water 7 saga = 303-441 (139ch)
Thriller Bark saga = 442-489 (48ch)
Summit War saga = 490-597 (108ch)
Fishman Island saga = 598-653 (56ch)
Pirate Alliance saga = 654-786 onwards (currently has 132 chapters and still ongoing)

Even as a saga it's been shat on in length so...

Doesnt mean it wasnt too long though. Water 7 and Pirate alliance dont feel dragged to me like alabasta did. Dressrosa arc does though. Just my opinion though.

For Dressrosa? I think it's fine personally, I'm sure Oda would have smaller than usual arcs to balance out the long arc we had for Dressrosa. Maybe arcs around 20-30 chapters long. Oda knows what he's doing.

I personally think Oda is bidding for time in this arc for some time now. I think he is stuck with some part of the story that he has got lined up ahead.
