[Question] Ur favorite anime and why?

I'm old. Growing up in the 80s we had some good anime (i.e., Dragonball, Robotech, Voltron, Transformers, Gundam), but most of what we got was Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Kimba, and Getter Robo. Akira came out and that was a start in the right direction for me, but in the early 1990s I finally saw this amazing series called Record of Lodoss War. It was about black knights, elves, wizards, priests, dragons, and demi-gods. Supposedly it was based on the creator's Dungeons and Dragons characters; I don't know. All I know is it had amazing animation for the time and an amazing classical score. The story and characters stuck with me. I remember I ripped the audio onto a cassette tape and would listen to them on the school bus. Is is the best anime? Probably not, but it remains an important memory of my past.

I just looked it up and it honestly looks amazing. I feel the same about Rurouni Kenshin. Old but gold.

Naruto, I don't really watch many other anime. I started a few others..but I didn't really like them.

I hated the animation when I first saw One Piece. I think it drastically improves as the show goes on. Same with naruto. Only fights are exceptions I think.

And I cant choose a favorite anime. I usually like all the ones I see in different ways.

I disagree, the animation declines after the TS. The animation/art was at it's peak during the Marineford arc IMO. It's obvious that Toei themselves are getting tired with animating the Dressrosa arc, if only those baboons went on a filler arc after PH then we wouldn't have these sloppy animations/art. If Toei actually treated the OP series well, it'd be #1 easily but they refuse to.
