Itachi killed the entire Uchiha clan and to keep his brother alive. Not even going to include his Akatsuki arc, and Itachi v. Sasuke here. That should speak volumes on what Sasuke means to Itachi. Sasuke is an important person to Naruto yes, but Naruto's understanding and love for Sasuke is more a friendship rivarly. They are brothers, but nothing that compares to the likes of Itachi.

What Naruto felt for Sasuke, Sasuke feels for Naruto. Does that mean he might have chased Naruto to bring him back? Not quite, but Naruto did not really chase Sasuke 24/7, he only went after Sasuke when they had information on his wear bouts, while Itachi did what he had to do for Sasuke ever since the Uchiha massacre.

-kishi said in an interview that Naruto has yet to genuinely fall in love before the events of the last. The love between a husband and wife and brothers/comrades is different. Anything else is fanfic.
