according to the manga, mighty guy said they found a way to counter each of nagato's jutsu. So it would be a waste of chakra for Obitio to use them. However that excuse is ass to me.

I think it was because he simply could not use such techniques as he never had Rinnegan before and it took too much chakra, and he needed 2 eyes for more power, but it was hard to control 1 eye.
Also his M-Sharingan's Kamui was too precious.

Obito did say he could barely handle the eye's power iirc.
Even that was plot at its finest. Half of Obitio's body is made of hashirama's DNA. The last time I check, I thought the Hashirama's DNA allow the user to use Dōjutsu at a higher level. Then let's not forget the fact that Obitio was a pure Uchiha that awaken the MS. I just don't see any reason why he could barely handle one rinnegan. If he barely could handle one rinnegan, It shouldn't be possible for him to become a jinchuuriki in the first place. Fluke ass plot hole.

Well, I guess kishi was trying to show that not everyone can use rinnegan even someone who's a uchiha-senju hybrid.

It's not plot no jutsu or etc. He already explained either. First of all, he wasn't true wielder + don't have monsterly chakra pool like Nagato. While He's always using his MS. When He became Juubi Jin. He can't even use MS due to control juubi, already unstable even in So6P mode or whatever you call it. Well yeah he can use some shinra tensei for surprise attack maybe but at this rate, Naruto already able to reflect few TBB. If Obito wants to throw Naruto so badly, He needs to use really good amount of chakra which would be just wasted. And still There's a option like he couldn't manage to control all paths or able to use since he just wield them short-time and he wasn't the true wielder. Sorry to say but Minato's SM was more forced than this. There are few explanations or options for Why Obito didn't use any formal 6 paths

You can't use the the Rinnegan's full power without both eyes. Due to the Rinnegan and the power it emits, it's very difficult to handle. Obito who was an Uchiha and half of his body was made up of Hashirama's cells almost lost himself to the power of one Rinnegan.

If he could barely handle one, Two of them would've killed him.

Even though Obito only had one eye he could still use the Outer Path, Human Path and Animal Path.
