[Discussion] Gomu Gomu No Burgess

Let's say Burgess stole Luffy's devil fruit and after some point he mastered it as well as him(he observed Luffy fighting, so he should know the mechanism behind his rubber amplification technique), so basically a already physical powerhouse like Burgess

1- Doubling his attack power and speed thanks to gear2
2- Pumping his limbs to gain gear3 attack power(greatly amplified thanks to rubber elasticity)
3- Pumping his arms while in armament to obtain gear4

And he gains the benefit of not getting damaged by blunt attacks

How strong do you think he'd become? The strongest he could defeat? As a reminder, his leg strength was enough to jump down a mountain without a scratch(something a physical strong fighter like Zoro feared to do with Luffy and co taking something like 10chapters to climb that mountain)

if burgess had the gommu gommu fruit mastered to the degree luffy does he would truly be a force to be reckoned with. the dude is already ridiculously powerful easily stronger than fishmen and he doesnt even have a devil fruit or any special abilities and im not sure if weve even seen him enhance his attacks with haki yet. not only that but the gum gum fruit perfectly compliments his brawler fighting style and he would low dif admirals if he went g4 imo

I actually thought about the idea of a Rubber Burgess during the chapter. I'd go as far to say that the strongest he could beat would be Doflamingo or Sabo.

That won't happen coz if he turn into rubberman den he would be cut by zoro or mihawk easily.

Maybe but I don't think that highly of Burgess to begin with, I think even Vergo or Sanji would be able to stop the likes of him. He'd get exponentially stronger but people like Sabo and Doflamingo currently outclasses him in many ways outside his strength. Sabo was even able to match his strength at one point. With the Gomu DF, I think he'd have what it takes to put down Doflamingo but it'd still be extreme diff.

Possibly. If Burgess gets the same speed as Luffy though, it won't be so easy for Sabo to just burn him up.

hed be above admiral level. he is on par with sabo though hes weaker he can still tango with sabo with the possibility of winning. but him simply going gear 2 would make him admiral level he already hits hard as **** surge elbow is all power he can do it without haki even so i mean not only is his strength and speed like tripled but he can do other gears as well. g3 would be nice but im not sure how much itd help since he already hits hard as **** but no one is getting up from a surge elbow in gear 3. and gear 4 is just overkill. burges is literally already a bound man but to make that even more is just a monster

Admiral level is the highest obtainable level, so, he'd be nearly there, he's probably not so good at Kenbunshoku Haki, given his size, even if he is he'd be unable to dodge a lot of attacks

I don't see how that is even remotely possible. Current burgess>Luffy without using rubber. now add to Burgess that level of gumo no gumo mastery that luffy has and he'll easily be above what Luffy is right now.

Ya'll are underrating Jesus greatly right now, a Gear 4th enhanced surge elbow would be devastating.
