PAIR Arc Final thoughts:
The PAIR arc is done with this week's chapter & I thought I'd share my thoughts on the arc. Personally, I enjoyed the arc a lot. It had a great mix of comedy, adventure/world-building, action, romance ( ;) ) and still weirdly enough maintaining the danger aspect of the Gourmet World. The introduction of the ENBU system was nice and that amazing setup/foreshadowing that we got at the end of the arc was simply phenomenal.

My only issues with the PAIR arc was that I felt that there could of been more of a deeper explanation of the ancient civilization & the history of Area 7. However we did get some of an explanation of the previous king ancestor and the method of preparing PAIR, so that's okay. Overall I'd rate the arc a 9.5/10, it was better than the AIR arc (which I'd give an 8/10).

Let's talk about more of this incredible plot progression and world building we got at the end of the arc. As we all now:

Intriguing, right? I just love how shimabukuro foreshadowed these events since the cooking festival arc. Anyways, it's evident that Toriko's plot is growing with these events and the plot now isn't just about Toriko obtaining his dreamed full course but also stopping this massive event.

Area 6 Expectations:
Now as for Area 6, I don't think me having expectations for the arc (regarding the geology or environments) will do any justice since I doubt it'll come anywhere close to how imaginative shimabukuro is. However, I do want to ask you guys what you think the next king ruler of the sea continent (Area 6) will be. My first choice would be an alligator/crocodile because it fits well with how the sea continent is structured & they can travel on land:

Not only that but we saw an img of the kings as well and I think a crocodile/alligator can fit one of the panels:
You must be registered for see images

My other choices for next king that aren't so likely but are still epic would be either a whale or kraken. I'm so glad to see Starjun & Brunch playing a role in the next arc and they'll need their help seeing what happened in this week's chapter.

Potential Act 3 of Toriko:
Finally, I want to discuss the idea of a potential act 3 of the Toriko series. As we all know, act 1 occurred in the human world and act 2 occurs in the gourmet world. Now what if act 3 would occur in outer space? Crazy, huh? Toriko's world building seems endless to me now. I feel that shimabukuro teases us at times with these panels of space and it could be him hinting at the idea of act 3 of Toriko occurring in space. For example, ever since Toriko ate air, we saw him do this:
You must be registered for see images

And when Bambina was going to sleep:
You must be registered for see images

And now with the recent chapter of Toriko:
You must be registered for see images

So what do you think? What's your thoughts on the PAIR arc, the expectations of Area 6 (sea continent) and the idea of act 3 of Toriko? Don't forget to discuss Toriko Chapter 323 because there's many important revelations.

Pair arc was pretty good, although i wanted to see Bambina stomp someone, see his full potential but okay.
I personaly didn't like the dancing and stuff, especially from zebra, i will give this arc a 7/10.

Hope next area has a beast King, I think Toriko will eventually go into space, the forshadowing is real.

Well we saw how long the afro looking nitro was getting blasted away for the span of a few chapters. XD We saw her get blasted away during chapter 317 and it stopped at chapter 322. I guess Area 7 was that large lmao. Yeah same here dude, I hope they do end up going to space. That would be so cool.

Totally agree with all of your points dude, 10/10 post Corazon :) some of mine:-

I presume Shima has at least 2 more training+explanation arcs for 2 unknown kings one in this arc one in next before things get serious. Till now 4Hk have not been even able to stand on the same footing of the kings and with threats becoming stronger Shima will introduce more training for 4 Hks.
So we will get all explanations soon.

1. Totally true, I presume next level will not only be water but relating to the dimensions of the other world we just saw. Also the spirit which took Kaka away said that he cannot be touched indication that the kitchen exist elsewhere.

Well to sum it up potential is now endless from earth to the whole universe and across dimensions.
For me
1.The final boss is Acacia. His devil is the original appetite that spawned the nitros who want to both assume their genetic destiny and awaken their original creator. The "devil who is going to eat the sun" is actually Acacia himself, and everything he did, including the beginning of the gourmet age, was to make sure to fulfill the Earth's cooking requirements.

The final battle will be the 4 awakened Heavenly Kings + Midora and a bunch of others vs Acacia's devil in space.

Moreover I believe Acacia is not a pure antagonist more of a anti-hero. He knew earth will be cooked so he decided to bring a new Gourmet Age putting end to wars.

Nonetheless we are going to get an amazing ride.

And now please get it an awesome anime series it deserves.

PAIR arc delivered, top arc really, for me it's a solid 9 out of 10.
Bambina is boss it's unfortunate we didn't get to see him go all out but hopefully we'll see him do in the future, my favorite king so far. The monkey king's ancestor looks badass with all the hair. Didn't enjoy the fight though.. Too much dancing and whatnot.

The plot progression and foreshadowing got so hyped, sky's the limit for this series.

Area 6, I'd like to see a Kraken but it's unlikely. Maybe a crocodile or a whale like you mentioned, I don't know.. we'll have to wait and see. might end up a turtle

They are definitely going to space mate!

Thanks. Yeah, I agree with an extra or 2 more training arcs and the powerups they gain from eating Acacia's full course, they will stand a better chance against the kings.

This page from Coco's hypothesis gets me hyped for Area 6 :p And that ties well with you suggesting that there may be a dimension of the other world in this sea continent. Which answers some of the mysteries in the deep sea.

O_O Damn, that'd be crazy if that happened. Indeed, it will be one hell of a ride. Omg lol yeah man, at this point I don't care which studio it is (as long as it's not Toei or pierrot) & they just animate Toriko properly by following the manga correctly (with minimal censorship). I want to see the gourmet world animated.

Agreed. I just found the enbu dance as comedic lol.

I hope so!
