I know Kakashi and Obito somewhat showed this. (even though Shin could see it too for whatever reason)
Two baddies are using what looks like a zetsu/juubi hatchling with sharingan.
That can be viewed from both Shin and the Leader who's eye seems to be stitched or forced open.

To me, this leads me to believe the following:
1. He or someone has access to sharingan, possibly from Obito's hidden lab
2. The leader doesn't seem to be an Uchiha judging by the way his eye is set up he may be using stitches or Fūinjutsu (Uzumaki?)
3. It's possible he has one eye
4. He knows about the Juubi/Zetsu and how they work
I think it's possible he's an Uzumaki with ties to Orochimaru or an experiment who stole Orochimaru's studies and escaped with Shin
Although #1 wouldn't explain why he would need Sarada. Unless he plans to force Sarada to kill her father to unlock a higher grade of sharingan. Or have shin kill Sasuke and have Sarada witness it.
