Why don't you try Spootify or Deezer? You pay around 9.99 € per month here in germany/europe, but you can listen to as much music as you want and you can even listen to them offline on your sellphone, tablet and pc xD
If it's available in your country, that is.

Spotify is awesome especially if you listen to music a lot. It's has everything and even the free subscription allows you to do a lot. And if you get premium you can download all of the songs from your collection.

Spotify, although I don't use it.
For downloading try what.cd if you know someone willing to give you an invite. But I personally use Soulseek.
For finding new music and keeping a record of listening habits, I use last.fm
