[Discussion] Is Germany the only country to fully come clean?

When I was researching some Japanese WW2 history, I started wondering about something. Is Germany the only country that had to come clean fully? Every country has their dark history and crimes. It's normal for a country to not, ya know, boast about their crimes. I don't have to look far to see past crimes not being acknowledged enough. I'm Belgian and I remember having brief education about my ancestors' crimes in Congo. (Choppin' off hands and more lovely things...) I did however had to hear multiple times about germany during WW2. Is it the same with you guys? War is a murderfest without winners, a double edged sword. I feel there's too much talk about 'winners', like they frickin saved the world...Too much fingerpointing too. I believe it's healthy to do self-reflection and I don't think schools apply this to history enough. Not to mention that 'winner' mentality creates a misplaced feeling of superiority, which can lead to more war.(Yay!)

That country is full of BS, they're the last nation I would expect to come clean about anything. The only way a country like the US will come clean about some things is if they are defeated and destroyed by a superior force just as the axis powers before them

Nah, they're all like that. Some (like Germany) just didn't have much of a choice.

It's not like others have done worse.

Our generation has nothing to do with the things that happened in the past.
America for example has done worse, but ofc they don't have to pay s**t. Thank you Israel.

Can you give me a few links about that.
Such as any photos of paperwork,etc showing that he was.

Cause all I can find is that he was a spy for hitler ,etc and the site just made it seem like anyone could have came up with such a story.

This. They might seem alright now but Germany was not in a good condition after WW2 and country was not even a whole until early 90ies.

It is about who wins and loses and they were the losers back then. Hitler was nominated for nobel peace prize, if they were the winners through and through things would be different.

Anywho, he was proscecuted for it and the documents are/were available to the public but I have no idea where to look for them anymore. I also browse the base on my shitty nokia lumia phone so I don't really do any digging. Take it or leave it.

Based on proportion of deaths to time span Communists win, though the world lost. So yes, war is murderfest, but death camps for civilians elevate tragedy to unspeakable levels. In this day in age all information is available, and most countries have come clean because they've been outed by facts, research, and accident.

After WW2, American citizens started adopting Hitler's ideology. Before then, just like how Hitler and the Nazi's persecuted the jews, white american were persecuting black people after 400 years of slavery. 400 YEARS! So hypocritical and it's still going on today. Our government doesn't care about us. They just care about their wealth as we break our backs to put food on the table. The government and corporate CEOs are just having a good time watching us bleed and sweat for enough money to take of ourselves. They are the reason behind the drugs coming into the states. As long as they get a cut, it's no problem.
