So what if Sakura and Sasuke couldn't conceive on their own and Karin was the surrogate mother for Sarada and she died during child birth? This could explain why Sakura reacted the way she did when Sarada started asking about her birth... Prehaps Sakura felt guilty because Karin died for her child or maybe Sakura couldn't save her... This was just a theory, all feedback is appreciated.

Stopped reading at "...she died during childbirth." Sorry but Karin's death is highly unlikely. :hmm: She is an Uzumaki and they have strong vitality and life force. The fact that she survived after Sasuke's stab wound and Guruguru's wood pierce is proof of that. I still believe that she is alive somewhere.

EDIT: I thought this over, and Sasuke might not even know he has a kid. After all, he supposedly never saw her and there are no birth records for her.

Perhaps, even, Sasuke (or someone) destroyed said records. Though, I see no real advantage to doing so given what we already know about Karin...unless she possesses an innate ability that could be heavily desired in the near future.

That's what I am worried about. I feel like this entire series is going to revolve around the 'baby mama' crap, and then the resolution will be so anti-climactic that it will feel like we wasted our time reading it. It'll be chapter 700 all over again.
