Nobody cares about it anymore including Togashi himself... after all Togashi purposes for this manga is get back at Shueisha after his failed attempt with a sudden ending of YYH turned out to be a hit instead of a disaster for the company,
and IMO the manga should have ended when Gon finally meet his father

Obvious is Obious, there's no way Togashi is on hiatus because of backpain, he's looking for an excuse to escape for good.
HxH is still a golden series despite what people say. Lol Togashi will be back to write the Dark Continent arc.
We only got a few arcs from the looks of it so it's close to being finished.
