Chakra rods potential [theory]

I have a few theories on Sasuke's potential with chakra rods but first I'd like to share a few thoughts on some key aspects of the weapons.

So chakra rods are able to paralyze opponents

They also share similar functions to the Sharingan's genjutsu in the sense that they grant the user control over the body's nervous system, like genjutsu. And they control the body's chakra flow

When Pain used 6Paths jutsu on the corpses everything from facial expression to motor skills was controlled by Nagato, his brain and chakra were directly connected to the dead bodies which allowed him to use them as his own.

The 6POP bodies were just vessels for him to use his chakra with, kinda like the transmigration jutsu but without the transmigration process.

So how far can a genuine Rinnegan wielder take the rods potential ?

Sasuke's Rinnegan feats are on an another level to Nagato's since he seemed to break a number of myths regarding the dojutsu like :

Needing Gedo Mazo to use bijuu chakra

Preta Path only capable of deflecting jutsu

He managed to bend the rules of 6 paths dojutsu, logically he should be capable of bending the rules with chakra rods as well.

Madara was capable of absorbing Hashirama's Senjutsu thanks to the chakra rods, something Nagato never did against Naruto

Could Sasuke absorb a portion of Naruto's RSM if he stabbed him with the rods ? I think so. Could he absorb a portion of the bijuu chakra that grants KKG ? In my opinion definitely.

Would Naruto be capable of breaking out of the chakra rods control ? Maybe since he has RSM but also maybe not since he always sucked at countering genjutsu..

In a way the chakra rods are an efficient way of replacing bijuu chakra, Sasuke would be able to nullify Naruto's power by either absorbing his chakra or paralyzing his body through the rods.

If he can absorb naruto's chakra ir suppress him, yes he can render naruto's abilties useless.

Breaking out of the rod control doesn't require as much skill as breaking out of genjutsu.

Madara was only able to absorb Hashirama senjutsu because he was in a body made of Hashi's cells, not due to the chakra rods.

If Saskue absorbs Senjutsu he gets turned into a statue, such as preta path did.

Naruto destroys black rods with ease, he managed to resist BZ's control which is much stronger than any chakra rod.

No, he never attempted to absorb Hashi's Sage Mode before the chakra rods, and only Sasuke is capable of extracting chakra using Preta Path, it requires Hagoromo's level something which neither Madara or Nagato had.

Nope, Sasuke doesn't get turned into a frog because Senjutsu chakra is NE mixed with the user's chakra, the energy is already processed as opposed to being raw when Sage Mode users absorb it.

And as Indra's transmigrants both Sasuke and Madara are able to control Senjutsu, hence why Sasuke achieved the Curse Mark's full potential from a young age and why Madara didn't find Hashi's Sage Mode difficult to control.

And BZ couldn't even control a dying Obito so I don't see where you're going with this.. Point is, Sasuke's Yin feats are the best in NV, he's superior in every jutsu related to the mind

Madara absorbed hashis already balanced sage chakra, through physical contact not chakra rods, and did have hashi cells to handle it.

Actually preta path got turned into a statue because naruto began absorbing to much nature chakra, and preta path couldnt control it.

Sasuke likely could control senjutsu, as he has done so in the past with curse mark, and rikudo chakra. However it is unknown if he could control it if naruto did the same thing as he did with preta path.


Sasuke has never bent any rules with rinnegan. Saying he has, is much like saying naruto bent the rules by making rasengan with kage bushin, or he broke the rules by making orbiting rasengan, or other rasengan variations.

Sasuke simply used the rinnegan in ways it hadnt been used before. Not ways it couldnt be used before.

Also sasuke simply cant use chakra rods to absorb or control naruto. Chakra rods have never shown that capacity in living people. All he would even possibly be able to do with chakra rods is paralyze naruto, but naruto since pain arc has grown more capable of resisting it. Also sasuke has not even used chakra rods. In fact it is naruto who has used them, not sasuke.
