Mitsuki is considered to be a popular kid and Boruto is his best friend. Boruto is different from his father in the regard that he is well-liked, has friends, is popular, does well in school, and is a prodigy. His only similarity to his father is that he's mischievous and his looks.

Naruto when meeting Boruto would not like him due to how successful he is and his general self (talkative with all the kids, has talent, excited/doesn't worry about exams or tests, etc).

This thread isn't about why Boruto and Naruto were the way they were as children. It's about whether or not they would be friends. They likely would not be, this is not a bad thing in the least nor does it reflect anything particularly negative or positive about their characters.
