Why sasukes life was miserable.

Okay, i agree many characters in Naruto had rough childhood.

But Sasuke had it too. Maybe less traumatic maybe not. I don't want to discuss about it.
But why Sasuke is saddest character in Naruto:
He dedicated his life for one goal (Kill Itachi). And after he did it, he learn through about Itachi life (That Itachi loved Sasuke and he did everything to protect him).
And this is so bad. Because you killed person you loved most. And you have to accept it and live. While Naruto, Nagato and other did't make mistake which they have to live with (unless Gaara

Look at people who killed his family in car accident or something. They start drinking or suicide. But Sasuke life is more sad because he intended to kill Itachi...

But when you make huge mistake, time stops for you and you live in that moment where you failed.

Nagato had to survive as a kid in a ghost village.

Sasuke left his village by choice to kill Itachi.
Nagato lost his best friend when they were trying to reclaim the village's pride.

Sasuke was forgiven for what he has done and was accepted again.
Nagato died, just to realize that he has done things the wrong way.

This was my reply on another thread earlier. Don't get me wrong, Sasuke's story is hard but I don't think it's worse than Nagato's. I feel like a lot of people here want everything to revolve around Sasuke.

What, what? Re-read my post carefully. Sasuke's first incident my have been more traumatic but, my god, compare their lives.

Sasuke: After the incident he made friends, lived in a peaceful village, was protected, schooled and was very popular. He rightfully wanted to kill Itachi but he abandoned his village and friends. He finally gets his revenge, than learns why he did it. His village accepts him back despite what he's done.

Nagato: After the incident he made 2 friends, lived in a warzone, wasn't protected and had to survive as a child, wasn't schooled.When they want to reclaim their village, his best friend, (which is half of his friends), dies in his arms. 2 Traumatic experiences already. A few moments before he dies he realizes he lived his live the wrong way when talking to Naruto.

I would say about equal. The only difference is that Sasuke's entire clan was killed and he was left alone. That was not the case with Nagato. He also found similar like-minded friends, something Sasuke never had.

Actually about the part where Sasuke had friends. Nagato had friends too. Even if they were poor and had to fight to survive they were still like family.


Nagato wasn't betrayed by the person the loved most in the world and he also wasn't tortured by by genjutsu twice forcing him to witness his loved ones dying over and over again.

Also I fail to see how having girls fawn over you makes any difference. That was attention that Sasuke didn't want. Nagato still enjoyed his time with Konan and she never left his side.

Nagato also had plenty more friends (comrades) when Akatsuki was just starting. Before Yahiko died.

The only thing Nagato's story has on Sasuke's is that Sasuke's had a good ending

Yes he realized that he failed. But he died happy and before death he asked Naruto to make world a better place. He chose his death this how he redeem his honor.

Who give a shit what some else is thinking. Sasuke is still trying to forgive himself not asking for forgiveness...
Its much more important.
