The last few eps have been really boring and I've had nothing to really say about them, but this one has come off as being so bad that I'm going to voice my complaints.
Gaara spent most of the episode just standing there while Shukaku was being extracted which was incredibly boring to watch. The idea that this... sitar (?) player was able to get Gaara that easily while sitting on his ass is ridiculous. I liked seeing Fuu and Gaara interact, but that's not saying much when Fuu only jumped in there to be shot down so quickly.
And why on Earth are we having Team Gai being the ones to come to the rescue?! I'm assuming it's so Neji can look good to explain why he was promoted to jounin so quickly, but uhhh Temari and Kankuro who? Shouldn't they be doing something to help Gaara in this situation? Last time I checked, isn't Temari the main proctor in charge of this exam?? I'm not going to be happy if this chance for some nice interaction between the Sand sibs is thrown out the window.
Also the animation in this ep was glaringly bad.
. Such a disappointment ... (They are not that bad but still give us a break and return to main storyline for god's sake !).
