I think kid Kakashi is over rated, yes he created chidori but that was about it.. He only became a jounnin because of the time of war, which was basically mention in the manga. I guess envy body forgets all he did was get save by Minato before he gain the sharingan..

Again, compared to uchiha "The greatest" is average at best and that's their own words. So they have to be held to their own standard. As an Uchiha, Sasuke was not a prodigy, he was at best a test dummy for oro that magically(plot) passed the cut.

I will say this, on record nobody rose through the ranks as quick as kakashi did, not even over wanked itachi.

When Kakashi mentioned that he thought it was a good time to put Team 7 through the Chuunin Exams, Iruka was against it. Kakashi replied that he became a Chuunin at age 6. Iruka replied that times were different then.

Times were different in that wars were going on. They were putting children through quicker in the system. Even Rin/Obito seemed average or rather on Genin Sakura's/Sasuke's level respectively and were Chuunin by the time they were 12. They needed more fighters and ninja.

The war ended when Itachi was 4- there was no reason for him to graduate from the Academy early at age 7 or become a Chuunin at age 10. He (age 10.5) also joined Anbu earlier than Kakashi (14). My point is that the gap later closed and what was going on as they progressed matters in accordance to graduation times.

You also mention Sasuke's fallacious self-praise in which he states that no genius compares to the Uchiha. This is not true and he was simply trying to boost his own ego in front of Orochimaru there. Otherwise, we wouldn't have only one Uchiha child prodigy mentioned for both intellect and abilities (Itachi) when they were very young, nor would most of the intelligent characters be non-Uchiha (Orochimaru, Kabuto, Minato, Tobirama, Shikamaru, Shikaku, etc).

Either way, I think Kakashi and Itachi are both great child prodigies in their own ways. Sasuke comes after to me and what he receives from the time he is 16 and onward are primarily handouts that any dedicated shinobi which can handle the power would master.

Sasuke and Itachi were born with a lot more resources than kakashi, just for being born as Uchihas, si this is unfair to kakashi IMO

Well we learned that Kakashi is no prodigy the fact that he's useless without sharingan such as he couldn't perform lightning style and his own skills assets without Obito dojutsu, not to mention he relied on Obito Kamui by constantly spamming on it makes him look Pathetic.

None of what you said disproves my point. Kakashi still on his own merit rose through the ranks faster than anyone else on record.

@bold: baseless, never was it stated in manga that war accelerated grad rates, seeing as nobody else rose as quick as kakashi did. And we all saw and know who kakashi's class was.Not to mention the fact that u said Obito and rin(as chunin) were around sasuke's and sakura's level, yet in the same post admit to the fact that Sasuke and sakura were taking the very same exams.

@underlined.Itachi rose in accordance with his skill, even hiruzen was able to recognize his ability( kage lvl mindset (my ass)) at the young age he was. So that right there is a reason he left/grad early. But it doesn't change him going through ranks slower than kakashi which was the only point yout took it up on yourself to reply to but have yet to disprove.



@bold/underline: it isn't self praise when the uchiha dropout that is obito, can wage war against the entire shinobi world single handedly. Yes, Oro took him in and experimened on him. Cm1 cm2, resistance to poison, compatability with juugo etc. Half of the stuff he got was through handout and experiments.

Oro gave him cm1/cm2
Itachi gave him ems and ama
Harogomo gave him rikudo chakra and rinne.

Nothing about the above says "prodigy", more like "luckily those stronger than me took interest cuz I'm weak on my own".
