Impressive. What program did you use to colour in this manga cut, and would you be okay with maybe giving us/me a few tips? :p

I used Photoshop CS5. I'm no pro lol but I can tell you practice makes perfect :p

Well let me tell you this. The shadowing on his armor, the colouring and the background's texture is really impressive. If you're not a busy man, why not apply for the Manga Colouring competitions?

I like the color palette you used a lot, especially for the background!! I would use a hard brush instead of a soft brush for the 'steel' plates. It's a hard surface and very reflective. Mine's too much though.. Don't forget higlights on the face and black (Hair and clothing under his armour) like you did on his armour. Anyways, gj and keep posting!

Here's mine roughly speedpainted (15 min aprox), as you can tell by the visible strokes. My hair needs more highlights compared to my armour. Just in case you're exploring painting styles ;)

Dude finish it! lol I'm still learning the different styles, so far hard strokes looks amazing :)

Do you use the highlight/burn tool?

(Mind if I save your pic? I wanna study it)

Sure, go ahead! Nope, I only used the hard stroke with transfer and put it on 'pen pressure' (Only works with a tablet). No other tools were used. The strokes are hard but fade depending on how hard you press. Hard brushes are fun to use because it's easy to paint reflectivity and stroke directions can form volume.

Someone else asked me to finish it as well, so tommorow I might.

Finished it. Far from perfect though.

* Feel like I didn't get his 'shoulderpad' right.
* 1 custom brush was used for the wood (+ normal ones) and 1 custom for the rocks.
