Not surprised but anyways yeah I am very interested to know how Luffy will Awaken. Hopefully turning an object into your DF is just one ability of it and theres much more to it than that.

I think there is no question we will see many variations of it, most likely all the strong Devil Fruit users from this point forward like the Yonko will have this awaken power.

This really delivers the sense on how far Luffy has to go before he is King of the Pirates, just when he masters Haki and gets a power upgrade that allows him to fight someone as strong as Doflamingo, it turns out there is still far more to learn.

I have to give the author credit, he handles the power levels and development well.

I agree so much with everything you said, especially the last sentence. Just as it seems Luffy has reached his DFs full potential, the author pulls this out. This opens up so much potential for every DF user, but lets hope this doesn't get exhausted like Haki. Lets hope its even more rare than CoC.

This section is pretty much the only place where you'll find people saying that because person A was defeated by person B and then person C beat them at less than half of their strength, person C>person A.

Doffy has been weakened to the point where he was about to die. You can't use Doffy effortlessly beating Law at 100% and Doffy losing to Luffy at close to 0% as Luffy>Law/

As much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, from what I can read on the Jump contents page some "awaken level" does indeed exist and is very loosely described to "Effect the surroundings" it didn't specifiy how. The link translations are a tad poor.

I can imagine Doffy using it, but no way can fruits like Luffy's effect surroundings.

I think in the spoilers Dofalmingo establishes that Luffy has yet to reach his awaken powers.

He calls Luffy a novice with his Devil Fruit.

But if his gears are his awake power then its not much of a new reveal, why introduce the concept of the awake state if Luffy already has been using that ability.

It sounds to me more like this awake power is the next step in Luffy and other Devil Fruit users growth.

It would provide an explanation for how his gears came about

I just can't imagine the awakened state being usable for most Paramecia, like, what is there to add to Laws fruit? Or to Luffy's? I can imagine things for the likes of Brook (Necromancy) Doffy (Objects producing strings or replication of objects with strings) and Kidd (making anything an electromagnet) etc. but I can't see anything possible for some Paramecia and Logia users

Zoan is quite easy to be honest, and I reckon Choppers Monster Point is his awakened state
