[Theory] Hamura's Inheritance

This theory has being posted by me in fragments in the Naruto Manga section, but I finally decided to post it here to clear some doubts about Hamura's role in the story and how Hamura and Hinata are connected. On the other hand, I just wanted to condense all the points in one place. Now let's start shall we. :bdpf:

Hamura's Inheritance

Hagoromo and Hamura together seal off the Juubi. This is a very important panel as it shows that Hamura played a major role in the sealing.

Hagoromo has both the Sun and Moon seals which sealed away the Original Juubi.

The Union of the Sun (Yang) and Moon (Yin) seals creates the Rinnegan (Yin/Yang) which you can see at the center.

The Sun/Yang Legacy went to Ashura.

The Moon/Yin Legacy went to Indra.

When Kaguya was revived; she immediately reacted to the Sun and Moon Seals.

But surprisingly, Kaguya only mentions Hagoromo's seals. This raises a glaring question as to Where is Hamura's seal ? What is it ?

The answer to this question literally lies on Toneri's back.

In the first sealing of the Juubi; Hagoromo used the Sun and Moon seals to seal away the Juubi. The union of the Sun and Moon is also shown by this in-yō, i.e; Yin-Yang Symbol when used by Naruto and Sasuke.

This is actually an incomplete Chiba Mon.

When Hamura's Star Seal is put in the mix; The Chiba Mon Becomes complete.

Black Zetsu indirectly ensured that Chibaku Tensei would never be complete and perfect.

The Purging Of Hamura

What really doesn't make sense is why Hamura did not feature in Madara's Flashback.

Hagoromo would not have removed the mention of his brother's existence from the Tablet.

It's only later do we know that Black Zetsu changed the text on the tablet and could have removed Hamura's mention in the tablet.

By purging the knowledge of Hamura's existence, Black Zetsu ensured that no one would realize the existence of a third (Star) seal.

Ensuring that Chibaku Tensei would never be complete.

The Star's Representation

Now that the missing link has being exposed, a question arises is what does Hamura's Star seal represent ?

The Sun is represented by Yang and the Moon is represented by Yin. The union between Sun and Moon creates Rinnegan (Again at the center).

I think the Star Seal represents the absence of Yin and Yang; the Void also called Wuji.

The Void/Star represents the Creation or Destruction of the Universe.

You must be registered for see images

Which in the manga and in real life would be called Big Bang or Big Crunch which can create and destroy the Universe. This actually fits with the manga very well.

In the Last, Hamura gives his chakra to his successor, Hinata making him the hier to the Star Seal.

The inheritance of Hamura being passed to Hinata is proven due to the change in color of Hinata's chakra to Purple.

What cements this even further is it's glaring similarity to how Hagoromo gave his Sun and Moon Inheritance to Naruto and Sasuke.

Hinata just like Hamura represents the Void (Represented by the Star) ; where there is absence of Yin and Yang. Look at the Yin-Yang Circle; Hinata has neither.

Now, we come to a final question which might have come into your mind at this point.

The Reaper Death Spirit

This question was raised by a member on the Hamura - Hinata issue. That is :-

"If Hinata got Hamura's chakra; why did she not get the Star Seal ?"

My answer to this would be that the Hamura that Hinata met was just a fragment of Hamura's spirit who had the chakra but not the seal.

There are many instances where spirits have divided themselves into multiple parts. I will give two examples below :-

1) Minato sealed a part of his spirit within Naruto to prevent the Kyuubi from breaking out. The main part of his soul was actually sealed in the Reaper Death Spirit's Belly.

2) Hagoromo divided his soul into two parts which met Naruto and Sasuke on Different Spirit realms and gave them the seals separately.

The main fragment of Hamura's soul having the Star Seal is

Actually the Reaper Death Spirit.

My first basis for saying this is the similarity in appearance : Long Hair, The same Horns and the similar robes.

My second Basis is the Reaper Death Spirit's connection to both Hagoromo and Kaguya hinting that the spirit is a cursed Hamura.

The RDS clutches souls (It's victims) with it's long hair.

This characteristic is shared by Kaguya, Hamura's Mother. Clutching Naruto and Sasuke with her hair.

In the battle against the Juubi, Hagoromo wielded a sword along with his staff.

This sword was perhaps given as a memento to Hamura by Hagoromo when he left for the moon to guard the Juubi's shell. The same sword appears in the RDS's mouth, though broken.

The final basis is based on the RDS having the Star seal in his possession which was hinted at in a obscure manner. When Kaguya was sealed away with the Sun and Moon Seals a sealing arch was created with the same seals.

The Kyuubi when it attacked Konoha was sealed away by the RDS through Minato.

The Kyuubi gets sealed away in a Star in between the Sealing arch.

I think at one point the Reaper Death Spirit and Hinata will have a meeting where the Star Seal will finally be given to Hinata by the RDS. This would make Hinata (Star) the equal half of Naruto (Sun) and Sasuke (Moon).

It will be a funny moment though. The RDS/Hamura is cursed and evil right now.

This is a good theory especially with the "Hinata(star) Naruto(sun) and Sasuke(moon)" but I feel this is all for nothing because I doubt Kishimoto will ever touch up on this again especially with the manga done and Gaiden being having only 9 chapters left.

That's a really great theory, I really like it with the whole star thing which Hamura chakra ties to RDS, however I don't see Hinata getting any significant roles in Part 3 especially we've already passed the point to no return cause the Last Movie already covered everything. Perhaps Orochimaru will do something with the RDS knowing he had some knowledge atleast with Hamura and Ootsutski clan.

Nice Question. One thing that I think she will get is a Rikudou powerup.

First off, Sakura is a mix of Yin (Sasuke) and Yang (Naruto). She balances both of them.

When Kaguya gets attacked, Sakura hits her from the top.

This is the exact spot where the Rinnegan (Yin/Yang) and the Diamond mark of Byakugou appears (Look at the hands).

The same also happened with Rikudou Kakashi; he is also Yin/Yang, so Sakura could get a Rikudou powerup in the future.

On the other hand, Sakura could be used as a comforting device for any tragedy that may befall on the plot especially for Bolt, Himawari and Sarada.

Kishimoto is only doing 10 chapters and also a movie which mainly revovle Orochimaru and Sasuke&Bolt. After all that, Kishi stated he will no longer continue the series. So I doubt there will be part 3, however I can see SP going to milk it without involve of Kishi. So it's going to be another GT. Just like all these Hiden novels

Hagoromo didn't always have both seals, it was shown in his younger days that he was Yang. Hamura is Yin, he has a Dojutsu, which is Yin, and his Chakra was noted as being similar to Sasuke's Yin seal (which Indra didn't have).
Both of them also had some of the opposite Chakra in them. Hagoromo though Yang, had Yin as well and thus had a Dojutsu. Hamura had Yin, but most likely was born with Kaguya's bone Yang abilities.

Sasuke and Naruto.
Two sides of the same coin, Yin and Yang together in harmony.

The only thing left is the Star. It can't be Yin or Yang as Hagoromo has both; so it represents the Void; i.e; Big Bang where Yin and Yang is absent.

Except that Hamura and Hagoromo were specifically shown to correlate with Naruto and Sasuke, Hagoromo using only his right hand (Yang) and Hamura his left hand (Yin).
Hagormo didn't use both his Yin and Yang seals, which means that only his Yang was used, put that alongside Hamura and what do you get? Yin seal.

I don't think so as The Uchihas representing the Moon and the Senjus along with the Uzumaki representing The Sun have already played a major role in the story with the Rinnegan fiasco.

The Hyuugas representing the Star (Byakugan and Tenseigan are related to that) are actually descendants of Hamura. the story just recently developed the Hyuugas with the introduction of Hamura, Kaguya and The Last.

It's a manga fact that Hamura and Hagoromo together sealed off the Juubi. Problem is the whole manga is telling us that Hagoromo had both Sun and Moon seals at the time of the sealing. So, it's obvious that Hamura has a mystery third seal which will be expanded upon when the real villain steps on the stage which is :

Orochimaru. :sdo:

Hinata has already being paired with Naruto so both of them along with Sasuke will defaet the Final Villain. Or alternatively, it could pass on to the children : Boruto (Sun), Sarada (Moon) and Himawari (Star).

No, the Manga is telling us that Hagoromo only had one seal, the Yang seal and that Hamura had the Yin.

Sorry man, but I'm gonna have to stop you right there. Kaguya likens Naruto and Sasuke's Chakra as being similar to Hagoromo and Hamura; otherwise referred to as Yin and Yang.

And we all know that, Indra = Yin, and Ashura = Yang, Hamura = Yin and Hagoromo = Yang, it's that simple.

Also, neither Ashura or Indra had the Yin and Yang seals, and it was the Yin seals Chakra that was mistaken for Hamura's and the Yang seals Chakra mistaken for Hagoromo.

Hagoromo didn't always have both seals, it was shown in his younger days that he was Yang. Hamura is Yin, he has a Dojutsu, which is Yin, and his Chakra was noted as being similar to Sasuke's Yin seal (which Indra didn't have).
Both of them also had some of the opposite Chakra in them. Hagoromo though Yang, had Yin as well and thus had a Dojutsu. Hamura had Yin, but most likely was born with Kaguya's bone Yang abilities.

Sasuke and Naruto.
Two sides of the same coin, Yin and Yang together in harmony.

Except that Hamura and Hagoromo were specifically shown to correlate with Naruto and Sasuke, Hagoromo using only his right hand (Yang) and Hamura his left hand (Yin).
Hagormo didn't use both his Yin and Yang seals, which means that only his Yang was used, put that alongside Hamura and what do you get? Yin seal.

Note that Hamura had TSB, which only can be activated when you have both Yin and Yang (Onmyoton).

To make all chakra one - Kaguya's desire eventually turned on Hagoromo and Hamura, her own twin sons with whom she had split her chakra. Kaguya formed a plan, and in order to take in all chakra, fused with the Shinju and battled against her twin sons.

The twins, assuming that the Juubi was a transformed Shinju attacking them in order to reclaim the chakra that was taken from it, faced off against it. And after a fierce battle, they activated Rikudou Chibaku Tensei. They turned it into the moon and sealed it away.'

The Star's Representation

Now that the missing link has being exposed, a question arises is what does Hamura's Star seal represent ?

The Sun is represented by Yang and the Moon is represented by Yin. The union between Sun and Moon creates Rinnegan (Again at the center).

I think the Star Seal represents the absence of Yin and Yang; the Void also called Wuji.

The Void/Star represents the Creation or Destruction of the Universe.

Which in the manga and in real life would be called Big Bang or Big Crunch which can create and destroy the Universe. This actually fits with the manga very well.

In the Last, Hamura gives his chakra to his successor, Hinata making him the hier to the Star Seal.

The inheritance of Hamura being passed to Hinata is proven due to the change in color of Hinata's chakra to Purple.

What cements this even further is it's glaring similarity to how Hagoromo gave his Sun and Moon Inheritance to Naruto and Sasuke.

Hinata just like Hamura represents the Void (Represented by the Star) ; where there is absence of Yin and Yang. Look at the Yin-Yang Circle; Hinata has neither.

Now, we come to a final question which might have come into your mind at this point.

The Reaper Death Spirit

This question was raised by a member on the Hamura - Hinata issue. That is :-

"If Hinata got Hamura's chakra; why did she not get the Star Seal ?"

My answer to this would be that the Hamura that Hinata met was just a fragment of Hamura's spirit who had the chakra but not the seal.

There are many instances where spirits have divided themselves into multiple parts. I will give two examples below :-

1) Minato sealed a part of his spirit within Naruto to prevent the Kyuubi from breaking out. The main part of his soul was actually sealed in the Reaper Death Spirit's Belly.

2) Hagoromo divided his soul into two parts which met Naruto and Sasuke on Different Spirit realms and gave them the seals separately.

The main fragment of Hamura's soul having the Star Seal is

Actually the Reaper Death Spirit.

My first basis for saying this is the similarity in appearance : Long Hair, The same Horns and the similar robes.

My second Basis is the Reaper Death Spirit's connection to both Hagoromo and Kaguya hinting that the spirit is a cursed Hamura.

The RDS clutches souls (It's victims) with it's long hair.

This characteristic is shared by Kaguya, Hamura's Mother. Clutching Naruto and Sasuke with her hair.

In the battle against the Juubi, Hagoromo wielded a sword along with his staff.

This sword was perhaps given as a memento to Hamura by Hagoromo when he left for the moon to guard the Juubi's shell. The same sword appears in the RDS's mouth, though broken.

The final basis is based on the RDS having the Star seal in his possession which was hinted at in a obscure manner. When Kaguya was sealed away with the Sun and Moon Seals a sealing arch was created with the same seals.

The Kyuubi when it attacked Konoha was sealed away by the RDS through Minato.

The Kyuubi gets sealed away in a Star in between the Sealing arch.

I think at one point the Reaper Death Spirit and Hinata will have a meeting where the Star Seal will finally be given to Hinata by the RDS. This would make Hinata (Star) the equal half of Naruto (Sun) and Sasuke (Moon).

It will be a funny moment though. The RDS/Hamura is cursed and evil right now.

A kamon (mon) is just a clan crest. Chiba is the name of said clan.

It's not a sun, moon and star either; it's just a moon and star - "tsuki ni hoshi". It wouldn't make sense for there to be a star seal simply because the sun is a star.

The Sun is the hidden third symbol. The Star and Moon Seals are visible.

And no The Star Symbol doesn't symbolise a Star, it actually symbolises the planet Venus which is also called the Morning and Evening Star. The material to support this is in Rabbit Teth's theory at the bottom of my post. The Black Hole symbolism could tie with the "star" word but it's just a theory with not much to support it unlike hard evidence in Rabbit Teth's theory.

So to clarify, the Chiba Mon has three symbols, it is even called the sanko or three lights in the top link (I cannot quote the parts from the site because of bad net) out of which the Star and Moon are the visible symbols and the Sun is the third hidden symbol.

The Sun symbol symbolises the Sun.
The Moon symbol symbolises the Moon.
The Star Symbol symbolises the Planet Venus.
