How strong is Rock Lee now?

Do you think he might have surpassed Gai-sensei in his prime? God I really hope we see more Rock Lee in the movies.

Kishimoto always gives Rock Lee something cool in movies funny enough, wasn't he a main character in that one movie XD?

Lee has been training as hard if not harder then Gai, 8th shouldn't be a problem for him.
