That would be like giving naruto BM, since BM has similar firepower to PS [EMS sasuke's full power]. Restrictions had to obviously be applied, or would you rather this was a full power MS sasuke?

Nagato should take this but it wouldn't be from CST. A lot of people survived, The last time he did this technique. And they were hardly defending themselves. So a no-legged susanoo should defend them.
Nagato's ability to absorb their techniques would be a serious problem and most likely the deciding factor. Unless Sasuke can get him in a gengutsu and hold him there. But we don't really know nagato's gengutsu strength.

OT: Nagato pretty much manhandled bee and Naruto, so the same will happen.

We don't really know if gengutsu is useless. As far as manga goes. We have never really seen rinnegan do genutsu. Except for sasuke's but his is pretty much a sharingan and rinnegan combined.

But i guess the idea is that rinnegan should be stronger than EMS.

You're right. It's not stated in the manga. But the DB says rinnegan is immune to visual genjutsus, I can't find the scan though

I know it's been in the DB, But Database also says you need Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu for Susano'o.
I personally only follow manga facts.
