Thinking about changing Internet providers.

My current Internet drives me crazy. At best I'm supposed to get 3Mbps Down which is very slow but that rarely happens. I'm constantly having issues weather it slows down to a crawl or is out completely.

But the problem is where I'm located I don't have a lot of options and I've been looking and it seems I'm available for AT&T U-Verse.

With that the max is 18Mbps a giant upgrade for basically the Same price. I know it seems like the clear choice but I'm just making sure it's all that it claims to be.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated?

All I know is I use sprint, when the connection is good it's flawless, when it's bad, it sucks.

LOL I use a 512 Kbps connection which mostly peaks at 480 Kbps or something.
