Well I already have an official rival (Uzumaki - although that only applies for the FF contests) so one more can't hurt xd I must warn you though, the first one I called rival ended up uber super mega powered angry at me (Reborn) xd He hated the rivalry, and probably in the end me too, lmao.
As for contests, this is pretty much it. So far, the FF contest has been the only thing I've been somewhat decent at. I'm trying to break that "curse/fate/whatever" with this entry this month.

No no, I meant that literally. I will join a contest which has an easy topic to cover such as scenery or the like. Well, I am also gunning for getting at least one Signature of the Week Award.
Dunno what to expect but I think a friendly competition will be beneficial for the both of us, me more so than you.
Good luck at that, though speaking for fanfics, you have 'em in the bag. I mean even your TLSoK, which according to you 'sucked' probably for lack of a better word, was a masterpiece. Say what you may about your quality back then and even if you're a lot better now, that was a work that deserved the awards it got you.
The submission time ended like two weeks ago xd But I guess since we have no idea when and if this contest's ever gonna begin, I'm certain it doesn't matter. Glad to be able to join a "real" contest with you man o__O
