Sarada is a reference to Sharada (Saraswati) the Hindu goddess of knowledge, her endless observing and constant questioning of people are the attributes of a knowledge seeker.

I think Sasuke's absence is going to cause Sarada to turn into the next Itachi, personality wise. She is currently experiencing loneliness and heartache but her maturity has kept her from leaning towards hatred.

Itachi showed the same attributes as her, he was mature beyond his age, he questioned the village system and also questioned his own existence/purpose, Sarada is already sharing some parallels with him.

Her parallels with her uncle are important because he was one of the few Uchiha that knew of the Curse and also one of the few to overcome it. His knowledge could have been used to free the clan from possible conflict.

It's now a new era in NV, Boruto and Himawari will change the Hyuuga and Uzumaki meanwhile Sarada will start a new generation Uchiha.

Because it's a new generation and Indra is no longer fighting Ashura, I believe Sarada will use her knowledge seeking talent to ensure that her descendants never experience Itachi's journey, Indra's hatred, Mangekyou's blindness and more importantly, the clan's extinction.

Maybe Kishi might elaborate on her parallels with Itachi in the next coming chapters

What we know so far is that she's questioned Sakura on her relationship with Sasuke. This isn't particularly noteworthy considering he's been absent for 12 years. You don't have to be smart to realize something is up.

Then we have people grasping straws concerning her line of thoughts in the academy. These are not particularly deep or interesting either. It's summed up as her questioning what it means to be a ninja and what the hype is all about. She's not even a ninja yet so the "What does it even mean to be a ninja?" line is silly. Yet no one seems to figure out that the only reason she started to ask these question was when her own teacher told them about "graduating". Such genius Lol

She's not even questioning the system, but if she did people would be eating up anything she says. Questioning a system when she has no inkling of experience as a ninja or any knowledge pertaining to government.

I disagree somewhat.

Sarada's questioning of what it means to be a shinobi is justified, as shinobi should realistically be outdated at this point.

There is near-universal peace throughout the land, so what does it mean to be a shinobi now? She is questioning the reliance on the outdated systems of the past in the modernized future, which is a very intelligent observation.

While everyone is blinded by their longing to graduate simply for the sake of graduating, Sarada actually questions the distant future, rather than the immediate future.

Not at all. She only began to question what it means to be a shinobi her and as she heard her classmates rouse for exctiment over becoming There is nothing intellectual about this scenario, only people using parallels that don't even exist.

Your second sentence made me laugh, a lot.

It's like you didn't even read what I typed. It seems you are blinded as well.
Iif you actually read the chapter, you would not need to question her thoughts. What you wrote was incorrect. If I need glasses, I'm curious what you need then?

Answer:
It's astounding how much critical thinking has been lost on you.

Read beyond the surface from now on. There is more to a manga than the pretty pictures.

The most astonishing thing is how someone could be so profound in thinking highly of thoughts that were created on no subject matter, but on the highly objective words coming through everyone around you. But alas, experience and failures do not partain in the knowledge of how Sasuke obtained and searched through those very questions and answers himself.

However, I did not expect much from this conversation either.

Salad rambling on about what it means to be a shinobi isn't an intelligence feat for her. She knows nothing about the shinobi system and feels like complaining (she even said it was annoying that people continued mentioning it). It's showing her ignorance to the world around her due to growing up during a time of peace.

Nor is it particularly smart about questioning her family. She said "mom, I've been meaning to ask you". Meaning that she had spent 12 years of her life never directly questioning Sakura about Sasuke and their relationship. Real life children have dealt with an absent parent better than Kishimoto wrote her dealing with it.

She said she didn't know anything about the Uchiha. That's not questioning, that's stating that she really doesn't know. She's ignorant in regards to her clan, too. She doesn't know why people think they're elite, who the founder is, that she even had an uncle, what happened to the clan... none of that.

Kishimoto said that he just made female Sasuke with some of Sakura's attributes. She's nothing like her uncle in terms of actions or looks. Nor have there been any parallels between the two yet.

Also, Kishimoto said that he wanted Sarada to represent an intellectual character due to wearing glasses. He didn't say through her actions... but through wearing glasses. xD Appearance is everything when it comes to Kishimoto's female characters, I guess. lol

People are so quick on judgement trying to compare the situations between her, and funny enough Sauske and Hashirama/Itachi. These situations are so beyond divergent, that in the complete context of what was being said in both situations, these two people would never find the same answer.

Then we have people like Necromancer
She is questioning the reliance on the outdated systems of the past in the modernized future, which is a very intelligent observation.

Sarada has defiantly showed herself to have mature understanding about things around her and on top of that, her inner dialogue is very insightful and again mature.

Good thread.
